Had severe winds Saturday night and lots of dust blowing. Gear came through unscathed. Most ground tents were pushed over/down. A few Eezy-Ups and cheaper awnings destroyed.

any of you guys use any type of conditioner or anything on the RTT travel cover? it stays in the sun in between camping trips so i'm trying to find something to help the fading issue and keep it nice.

What about getting a cheap tarp and wrapping it around the tent?

i thought about it, i just don't want it to look too ghetto. I was thinking maybe some kind of oil-free tire shine type thing. I have some i was considering doing a test stop on it, just not sure if it's one of those things the great people of TW have already solved.

I actually just got done doing that to mine. I use 303 Aerospace protectant. It's THE best UV protectant for PVC and other plastics. I apply it every time I wash the truck, which isn't often haha. But I don't have the UV problems you do in Arizona.

You can buy it at West Marine and I'm sure other places as well.

My dad uses that stuff too and says it's the best so if you don't want a tarp that'll do it. A tarp may look ghetto but it'll do the best.

Andrew at KMFAB hooked up the RTT the other day! Got some cool little 6" light bars and had em wired to a switch box powered by my 12v plugs in the bed. The switch box is located inside the tent. Ill have more pics this weekend!

Finally had a nice day to pop it out. I am working on a different method for the overhand support bar.

For those of you with overhangs and annexes on your tents, how often are you actually using them? looking at Tepuis and just realized how much extra $$$ it'll take to get an annex and want to make sure it's worth it.

This is how i use mine. When we are going on a quick trip we usually don't pitch the annex. If we are staying awhile in one place, have more than 2-3 people or are having bad weather I have the annex in the truck and can add it pretty quickly.

I agree with the guys above. If we get into camp late then we rarely put it on. If the dance and I get in early then it usually gets set up so she has somewhere to change, shower, and use the lugaloo. I think it is worth the cost. I got lucky though and mine was included with the CVT tent.

Well, I got a rack.. but not sure about the tents.. Right now I have the bed tent that fits inside, just got this rack for strapping on my kayak and whatever other random things I can use it for. Makes using the bed very limited, but it's easy to remove, only held on by the bed cleats.

I set mine up everytime, but i've also only been camping in the cold weather in Alaska (got the tent after summer was over) and the annex makes a great place to put the dog, our boots, and the heater. (the little buddy lets the heat flow right up to the upstairs and heats it all really nice. Down to about 20 degrees you are snug as a bug in a 10* bag. We've also taken friends most times we've gone camping as well.
