    It still happens to me after my 0-point calibration. It happened a lot more on new tires as I'm sure the tread was flexing more as I was on the off and on ramps. Mine only does it on right hand turns, never left. I've just gotten used to it now.

    As everyone already pointed you to the VSC reset/calibration is the first thing to do.

    It seems in some cases that isn't enough. Depending on the lift you may have changed the rake (front/back height difference) enough that it confuses the VSC yaw sensor. This appears to be a common problem in Tundras and some Tundra owners have apparently corrected the problem by angling their yaw sensor with shims back to level. I'm unaware of anyone doing this with a Tacoma - or even knowing where the yaw sensor is - but that might be your next course of action!

    But definitely try to get it fixed, the VSC can cause under-steer unexpectedly - meaning you end up in oncoming traffic if you are on the inside of a turn and it turns on when it shouldn't!

    It's true that the zero point recalibration doesn't always solve the problem completely

    I completed the re calibration this morning and so far it seems to have fixed it. I will update if I continue to have an issue.

    Spoke too soon. Still doing it. Maybe worse than before. I'll swing by the dealer on Monday and have them do it.

    Realized my garage floor has a decent slope to it so I leveled the truck and re-calibrated the VSC. So far I haven't had an occurrence of the VSC kicking in. Although I haven't tried to make it do it.

    After some further research I have found that some people report VSC issues due to too high of air pressure. I just checked my air pressure and it was 37-38psi, which is way high.

    I have lowered it down to 30 and may go a lb or 2 lower depending on wear.

    I'm not sure how having your tires inflated 8-10 lbs over the OEM ones would effect whether the traction control engages or not

    If anything , higher inflation would allow less body roll , no ?

    No sure. The thinking is that the ECU takes into account tire pressure to decide if the truck is loosing traction. IDK if it matters at all. Only read some accounts of guys having zero issues then getting new tires and having issues only to find high tire pressure. Once the pressure was corrected they didn't have any more VSC issues.

    Mine was high and needed to be lower anyhow.

    I don't think the ECU uses the TPMS data for traction control

    The brain of the ESC (VSC) system is the electronic control unit (ECU). The various control techniques are embedded in it. Often, the same ECU is used for diverse systems at the same time (ABS, Traction control system, climate control, etc.).

    So it is still doing it, not as bad but still not good either.

    Stopped by the dealer and they want $99 to check it out and do the Zero Point Calibration. Anyone think this is worth it?I dont have a lot of dealers in my area so I cant really shop around the price.

    Also I discovered today that my sway bar is hitting the very bottom of my strut. Bummer.
