Anytime I order anything from China, it's always 10 sizes too small. I ordered a large t-shirt from an eBay store and it was the equivalent to an American small.

Nope. Basically they put amino acids in and count that towards the protein content, but amino acids alone don't create whole strands of protein. Kona can probably explain this in scientific terms. In layman's terms, they claim to have 25g protein per scoop when it's really actually around 10g. Fuck MusclePharm lol

It's a creatine supplement, but it's got other stuff in it (high in carbs, vitamin c, vitamin b6, BCAA's, and other amino acids)

People mainly refer to Celltech when they're talkng about.....ehhh.....other supplements of the illegal variety.

    Here's the original joke:

I'm not sure of the exact specifics, but from what I understand, the shit companies add a ton of cheap misc. aminos so that when their product is tested under a "general" examination, the extra nitrogen present trick the readings into thinking there's more peptide bonds present in the powder, and therefore more protein.

Which could be easily figured out by a chemist who knows what the fuck he/she is doing, but alas

I think the dishonest companies (like MusclePharm) stay as far away from those people as possible.

People often forget the number one goal for companies isn't to make you look better; it's to sell their product.

Thank God for folks like Kona who know how to do the science

some dude on reddit awhile back did a simple colorimetric assay of different brands and posted the results here
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...nR0WVZybGtFWnRKNzdKNm9XOVE&toomany=true#gid=0

which showed musclepharm as being not "too" bad. what's the word over at BB?

reading this, the colorimetric kits they used are super fucking simple, and I have access to a shit ton of spectrophotometers...

If I have time, I might go and test some shit myself

    edit:
just found a much better resource

    x2.

MusclePharm claims to have 25g and it really has 22g...that's not as bad as they were making it out to be.

ON claims 24g and it really has 23g...THIS is why they're my favorite company

Also, I noticed that the first actual popular protein on the list was ON. Those on the top ten are hella expensive/all-natural/vegan/isolate/etc.

    Great line!

My usual is either "I gotta drive home" or "Shit to do when I get home"..though I rarely get asked after 12 plus years.

One problem with the ON (at least for me) is the cholesterol is high. I did like it but went back to the Muscle Milk because of the cholesterol count..

Cholesterol? Hell, I eat eggs like it's going out of style. And my trainer eats 10 eggs a day. YOLO. I'll probably die in a few years no big deal :pout:
