Maybe since they are so popular a new kevlar version is coming with a mild redesign.

Seems kevlar is in a few other goodyear truck tires so...

you've got to be shitting me right...what you "heard" :p

Wet traction is amazing for an AT tire, I run a C rated with the thinner side wall and have been offroading them hard as hell for 1.5 years with 0 issues and they are much quieter than most aggressive thread tires available.

Far as I'm concerned these are great tires.

I have the Duratracs and I think they are great. Only thing bad about them (I've heard) is bad sidewalls, rocks aren't too bad here in GA so I wouldn't know personally. But they are mildly loud not too bad and I haven't had any bad wet traction. But just my 0.02

I'll tell you one thing, my Hankook's wet traction is awesome.

Off topic, what's wrong with ATRAC? Just curious.

I dont like my duratracs. Just waiting for them to wear out so I can replace. I don't drive very much so I'm stuck with them for a while. The good.. The traction, they look cool. The bad.. They're loud, they've never been balanced because nobody is able to get them right.

I'll go with something else next time for sure.

Not surprised. Too many mixed reviews. Unable to balance, bad wear, cupping, side wall, etc....
Lots love them for their looks, but it appears their quality is hit or miss.

sounds to me like they need street tires..

Mine balance fine, are not loud and have excellent traction on ALL terrain.

Drive in BFG AT or BFG MT then switch to these ... night and day..

I came from BFG AT's. I never had any balancing issues, they weren't loud and I think the traction was equivalent.

You drive an automatic, I can tell you without a question of doubt that the BFG AT would not hook up for shit in rain or super soft sand.. Duratracs make me feel a lot more secure with a confident grip when trying to feather first gear.

My BFG AT would always need to be rebalanced.. these have never had an issue. they are not as loud as the BFG as well..

BFG redesigned the AT to a KO2 for many reasons and it seems a lot of the old issues have been fixed.

I spend 4-5 months each year driving in inclement weather. Probably a little different than the 20 days a year you see rain in So Cal. On a normal year, we get 100 inches of snow, so if I had a tire with bad traction, I would know about it.

The BFG had great traction, so does the Duratrac, however the balancing issues and mud tire like noise has me regretting this tire choice.

Mine are balanced nice so far... We'll see how that goes over the months... I also don't find them that loud... But I also have these Summit Mud Hog tires on my Iltis as a reference point for road noise. [IMG]

Yeah I was mad too that mine didn't make it to 100k miles. What a bunch of junk. I'll go with Toyo M/T's next time. I heard they wear great.
