Had my first crash today. Flew straight into a bush. I still have not mastered the skill of flying backwards with the reverse controls. :anonymous:

I killed two blades. So I'll have to order a few more sets to replace the spares I used lol

Alright new question. I'm looking at blades and my current ones are 9443. On the DJI website they have some different blades that say "The new 9450 provides extra thrust and better power efficiency than the 9443"

Should I stick with what I have or get the different ones? They are the same price. But only issue is that I probably wouldn't want to mix the two different blades at the same time so I'd have extra "old" blades if I break more.

Go with the 9443's, they are good. Buy a few sets of them too. Ask me how I know :anonymous:
    I guess I would brag too :p

Bummer... happens to the best of us though... have you played with IOC?

I'd stick with the old ones... The difference in blade pitch is minimal, plus this way you can use the old blades as spares...

    Definitely don't mix and match.

Haven't played with the IOC yet. Kind of dumb how you have to download the program to be able to turn it on. I currently don't have Internet so that will have to be done after that happens lol

How does what compare to the P2V+?

The Blade? It's roughly the same thing... The Blade is a couple hundred bucks cheaper though... It's a good value for what you get for 1k... Hope this helps!

Keep practicing without IOC... It'll make you better in the long run, whereas IOC is for those who don't care to learn or are just getting started.

anyone know of a waterproof, or at least water resistant fpv camera?

I can waterproof the transmitter, but cameras are a little harder to waterproof at home

could adapt a go-pro housing, but that's a last resort.

That's an option. Only risk is the silicone coming into the field of view. Hard to predict how much room you have to play with, without having the camera in your hands. Could be worth a try with a cheapo non hd Chinese made fav camera

hah, that's funny, i was just looking at ROVs last week
    http://www.aquabotix.com/

I'm actually not looking for a waterproof fpv system to fly though. wanting to experiment with an off off road "recon" vehicle. trying to do more and more exploration type off road trips (in addition to going to off road parks). historically, I've had terrible luck heading down "trails", only to find myself in a very undesireable spot half a mile down the trail (my trailer fell off a cliff once, for example).

because I'm lazy, jogging down a trail a half mile to see what's ahead isn't too appealing, elspecially in the frequent rain we get up here. so my solution is to put a waterproof, or at least water resistant fpv setup on my 1/8 scale rc truck. it'll make it down the trail faster than i could ever run down it, and it'll give me insight needed to make the decision to proceed, or look for another route.

i already have the monitor mounted in my truck for my trail cams, which will take an fpv receiver, so literally all i need to do is find or create the right camera, and slap it on the rc with a tx.
