Yea. Kind of my thought... Of instances... Went to the AEV jeep dealer last week for shits and giggles... My thoughts were wanting a basic 2 door wrangler. Like 24k out the door... But the kicker was I wanted to see if they would add the rubicon transfer case for factory.... Nope... But after you purchase the jeep you can order what ever you from the parts dept and have it added for a price... Why can't you just get what you want straight off the line... Your happy and the dealership is happy because they got another client for life.

Same goes for the 5.7 and 6.4 if you want those.

The issue though, is they're saying toyota won't build that. Like, you literally CAN'T order it like that. They're saying it's 100% impossible for them to customize the truck like that. Which blows my mind.

They're right. Toyota won't build it like that. I have a base model, so I don't have any of the items you requested. If I was in your situation (just my $.02), I would buy the truck IF they add the window and cruise at the agreed upon price. Keyless entry and the steering wheel wouldn't mean much to me. If it doesn't have intermittent wipers, get that added too.

My dealer quoted me $350 for the window, so you know it's actually worth about $100 max. Cruise costs way less.

Without keyless entry, you can open the passenger door with 2 turns of the key when you unlock your door.

What are intermittent wipers? (This is going to be my first vehicle newer than 1998, so flame away).

Keyless entry means waaaaay more to me than cruise control.

for those items... they're small - if the dealer fixes them, why wouldn't you want it? and 'breaking the factory seal'? it's not gallon of milk that's going to spoil now.... :D your call, but those are ticky-tack IF they're fixed.

But if you have money and go to a Benz dealer you can pretty much get what you want. Lol.

That's a big "if." I would absolutely want it if they fixed it, but he's not even going to attempt to see how to put the cruise control on, even though I told him it could be done for cheap and quickly. As far as the seal - I'm not the average car consumer. I customize the piss out of my vehicles, and have about a decade experience in screwing them up. The factory seal on a window is always better than the replacement seal. There is far less risk of leaks with the factory seal.

Lol, I got that. I guess I should have been more specific.... does the intermittent wipers mean that I can set the speed? Or is it like my other car, where I have 3 choices....barely on, moderately on and then hyper-wiper?
