    I have one of those big pop up tents I'm wondering if it'll hold my hammock in it if I stake the tent well. Thoughts? I was gonna loop the straps into the fork of a leg and run it diagonal to the other leg

    I doubt it will hold up. Look up a turtle dog stand. And compare materials.

    Yeah like you use for farmers market stands or whatever. I normally tie up between the center hoop of my bumper and a tree and throw up my fly. But it would be really nice to be able to get up and walk around under the canopy.

    i doubt those, even "heavy duty" ones, are built to support that kind of weight. set up the canopy between 2 trees and center the hammock under it.

    I'm gonna try it when I get home lol. I'm only 130lbs but I might do that too. I'd hate for it to be raining and I'm confined to my little rain fly until I decide to brave the rain

    i think you'd be much more safe under the canopy and tied to trees. i may do the same thing instead of setting up the taj.
