    I've pretty much run out of room for things in the bed and decided to move my propane bottle and 5 gallon water cooler to the vertical tubes of my bedrack.

    skygear explains the same thought process I had when putting this together. Check out the FrontRunner link below regarding a special roof rack system option.

    I'd like to think the location is high enough to avoid a direct impact from most vehicles, during a rear ending. God, I've been rear ending more times than I can remember, over the years :( I know nothing is 100%, but you're correct, I'm only using this for when I'm going camping. The bottle and the holder will come off when I get back.

    FrontRunner makes a nice rack top mount that adapts for different sized bottles, but it cost more. I like mine because the "universal" brackets I got from Axia Alloys can be used for other rack mount applications, unlike the FrontRunner mount, when I'm not hauling my bottle around.

    Thanks for the comments. I'm open to other ideas if anyone wants to suggest something. That's why I like this forum. :thumbsup:

    I got your reasoning it before I posted, I really did. Sometimes creative objective thought gets us to think.
    I have a FR rack and have looked at the cost and not sure I will mount mine there, although a very solid mount.
    As I mentioned I will most likely mount on the underneath of my rack towards the rear of the truck if I have the need.
    There is always a chance of failure with all of us running around with shit mounted all over our trucks and we assume that liability. As White91formula, I would fear it shoots off in an impact far before I would suspect it may rupture due to its height.
    Anyway, great truck and keep up the fantastic work.
