I'm a pretty regular drinker. Usually 1-2 drinks a night. Usually a couple of beers, maybe a glass of wine. Sometimes more on the weekends. So I drink quite a bit in reality. Anyhow, this last weekend I was outside working in the yard all day. It was kind of hot and I didn't really drink any water all day, but had I guess around 6-7 beers and some wine.

Needless to say, I was absolutely trashed and was super hung over for 2-3 days. I've never been hung over for that long. The worst maybe a day. I haven't had a drink in 4 days now. I sort of lost my appetite to drink for now!

Haha! Dehydrated drinking will do that. Wine has always given me the absolute worst hangovers.

I'm the same way with rum. I can't even smell the stuff without wanting to throw up. That was the 2nd worst I've been hungover, which was back in college.

my worst hangover has to be the first time i got drunk. i managed to consume half a bottle of grey goose within the first hour. the 1/4 of the rest over the next 2 hours. all this time i was in my back yard with my buddies. well my mom finally wakes up and busts me. i go up to my room and pray to god that he let me survive the night. i passed out but didnt throw up. woke up the next afternoon and found out i had had my stomach pumped in my own damn room by my mom's friend who happend to be an EMT. fuckin sucked. was hungover for 2 days.

Yeah- the dehydration definitely did it. I'd spent all day the day before outside too. So I think I was really dehydrated. I swear to god all I know is that I woke up at 10:00 that night and didn't remember laying down on the couch.

Thats crazy. I don't know what its like to be hung over, and I can drink like a champ. Lately when I drink its usually JD and its 3/4 of a fifth through out the night at the minimum.

Water and pepto before you head to bed, and a tons of gatorade and fatty foods in the morning.

Makes the morning after so much better.

I don't get hungover that often. All I know is that every time I do get that hungover I always tell myself that there's no way in hell I'll ever drink again because it seems like the last thing I want to do. Next week its beer-thirty!

Yeah, I usually do. They say you should have 2 drinks of water per every beer or whatever. I was just too busy and the beer was more convenient than running inside. My fault!

I've acquired a rather high alcohol tolerance from when I used to go out and get trashed on a nightly basis.

Gatorade and sleep is your friend. As is Ibuprofen.

However I find the best way to kick a hangover is avoid getting drunk all together.

Its funny that some of you guys have all this advice and yet are actually underage to be drinking anyway. Anyway, I've thought I probably aught to cut down. I like a good beer and some well-made wine. Alcoholism runs in my family. I've always been keenly aware of this. Perhaps this last hangover is my signal.

    Mmmmm cold pork fat omelet.

Offered one of those up to a hungover buddy of mine. Grabbed a frying pan that had bacon grease in it from several days before. Watched me heat up a tortilla and scoop out the cold fat, rolled it up and tossed it to him at the table. Took one look at it and blew chow all over the table. :D

indeed. i dont make it up there often though. i was actually referring to the abundance of bars and the level of drinking that goes on down here as being dangerous for the liver and the bank account.

There's a bar not far from me. Lots of regulars. They sell a lot of this Belgian beer that is sometimes 12-14% alcohol. So you can be playing pool or shooting the shit and suddenly you've had 2-3 of the things and somehow you have to figure out to bicycle home without falling over.
