The only thing mine needed to clear 315's was to remove the mud flaps. That was before the HC rear went on. Maybe the different setups of suspension and wheels/tires stuff differently :notsure:

Here is a shot of what All-Pro cut on the rear of their Brownie to clear 37's. Maybe what you're talking about with cutting the rear.

Its really all subjective. Tire brands, rim width, offset, uptravel...

This build had to take more out then AP did for 37s! http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176526

    Check out the build
So I hear two different opinions on gears. Some say 4.56 are fine and others recommend 4.88.

Rights now I am at 2.2k rpm at 80 with stock gearing and 265/75r16's. I like that I'm a little over geared so would 4.56 be better with 35's given my preference?

SUA is the way to go for rear travel.

Yep. Just changes where the travel is. Kinda like preload on a coilover.

I guess that's why all the LT guys go SOA right ? If you go SUA and swap the pack, you will get way more travel than SOA.

The only reason I see for doing a spring under axle is to lower drive shaft angle. I don't understand how it would add travel or clearance unless you relocate the stock bump stop.

Cause I want to do a Chevy 63 swap with long shocks which I don't have money for right now. That's like me asking you why aren't you SUA then?
