    thanks for the reminder I need to move my fire stick and get a new cable and not run it next to my power cable this time :facepalm:

    man you're telling me. I went form a 6" IFS lift on 35's to one ton SAS on 40's with a atlas4 transfercase.

    Might come in handy. I'll be installing my CB just before Moab. I talked a buddy I wheel with here into getting one as well and he got a SWR meter too, but idk what I'm doing and I doubt he does either.. so it may not be fully functional when I arrive :eek:

    Just remember if you can't get the SWR right that almost every truck stop you'll pass on the drive down has a CB shop inside that will tune them in about 5 minutes on the cheap. Just in case you and you're homeboy want to keep up the chitter chatter on the way down.

    Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
    I'll have it with me and being in a wide open space is great for tuning. That being said high SWR comes from a few things: Poor Ground and poor antenna placement. Try and get the antenna as high and centered on the truck. We can fiddle with it at BFE though pretty easily. Good luck with your install!
