you know that black stripe thing over each seat on the roof of the truck i bet you thats whats making the noise. im gonna try and see if i can recreate it with a air compressor by blowing high pressure air at my truck :D my truck does make that noise, the one that sounds like its coming from the mirror, but im betting its that black strip on the roof. because if you look at the that thing its like a thin layer of metal or what ever material its made of, perfect for making whistle noises.

Got the same thing on 2011 DCLB. Hear it mainly in a strong headwind, and it's after they resealed the windshield. Sounds like it's coming from side window.

I have a 2014 dcsb sport and I get a very strong wind sound when I break 65+ MPH. I tightened some stuff and thought it was just something little. I found that little hole in the picture and tried to seal it temporarily with some electrical tape. Did it for a day and it reduced it a little. Not sure if thats what it is or not but I hope this helps. Ill write up more later to see if I still hear it.

Don't get a 50" roof mount light bar if you don't like the whistling.

I just got a 2013 Access cab. It has very obnoxious vibrating squeal, like the one in the videos. I taped up the black windshield molding on the top and both sides. I taped it to the windshield and still had the noise, then I taped it to the truck body covering the gap between the molding and the truck. The noise stopped, now I need to figure out how to permanently fix the problem.

This is how I taped up my windshield to stop my noise. I taped all three sides. Also I just got of the phone with dealership and they said there is a TSB for a wind noise but it's for the doors and they don't have a fix for it. My problem would not be covered.

I was northbound on the highway today with major wind gusts coming from the west. The kazoo noise near the passenger side mirror started kicking in right away. I pulled over and started taping stuff with some electrical tape. I taped the seal on both sides like the previous pictures and I sill got the noise. Then I taped the top of this plastic trim piece at the lower corner of the window and the kazoo noise stopped.

    windowtrim_zps0w16kses_dbad67916b36d91f34ce798c5f0c15db8a948f48.jpg

You can't see it in the bad cell phone pic, but you can see abrasion marks on the top of the plastic that line up with the underside of hood. I think this puppy is vibrating like a reed up and down between the window and hood. I pulled it off and am going to drive this way for a while to confirm the noise is gone.

Ya know i was looking around at that area of the truck the other day and tapped on that plastic piece and went hmm that could make some noise. The kazoo sounds i could see being made by that hard piece of plastic. Time to isolate it and live noise free!

I haven't been able to reproduce the noise since coming back from Mammoth. There was a strong head / side wind going at the time. I got it up over 100mph today and no noise? Not much wind today though. I haven't touched a thing but I did notice that piece^ is loose?

I taped the edge of my window exactly like Pelican did and I still got it to hum. I probably drove the same 8 mile stretch of highway 6 times back and forth yesterday because the wind was just right to get the kazoo noise when going north. Only time it didn't do it was when I taped the top edge of this piece down. If you pop it loose it is only held in place by a plug on the inner side. If air got under it, coming from the driver's side, the outer edge could flop up and down. Like I said, mine even has abrasion/scratch marks that line up with the underside of the hood.
