I just got mine from Antwerpen toyota. Had a fantastic salesperson who worked with me, gave me all the attention and dealed with my annoying amount of emails. If you want to PM me, he was great to me. Went to 3 other toyotas here in MD and they were the only ones that impressed me.

Jesus fucking christ, I'm about to lose it. The salesman called....not the manager. To tell me that they can't swap the steering wheel. "It's a safety thing and way too involved." I tripped out on him and told him it's quite evident that he doesn't work on cars, because it's a 15 minute job. I even told him to throw the steering wheel in the truck and I'll do it myself, but he said "they" aren't going to do that.

I'm STILL waiting for the manager to hit me back.

I'd walk at this point. I had to do that a few weeks ago. Terrible experience. Some people have the thirst to work for their money, others just want it handed to them.

I am so ready to. The issue is, I need a truck now. I ride motocross and I'm currently in a position where I can't ride and riding season is starting.

If you have a good dealer, they'll find what you need, and get it. My mom also bought her highlander at Antwerpen where we went, and they drove 3 hours to get the exact suv she wanted. Just a matter of someone wanting it. What you want IS out there, made already, and is just a matter of who wants your money to make it happen. Your current dealer obviously doesn't.

(Note, I don't work or have any affiliation with Antwerpen. Just an incredibly good experience and I work in the service industry. So I share my experiences)

I think my favorite part is the salesman arguing that they can't add that stuff to my truck because that's a more expensive truck. THEN WHY THE FUCK DID YOU TELL ME MY TRUCK CAME WITH IT!

Here's the thing.... I am deadset on the V6. I am EXTREMELY particular with these kinds of things and I don't settle. But that's why I asked about them beforehand. I went into it knowing 100% exactly what I needed and what I wanted out of the truck, and was told I was getting it. Now when it arrives, I'm being told to just shut up and take it.

I hear ya! At this point you're better off waiting for 2016 gen3 tacos coming in August.

Looks like you are dealing with a stealership. I would at the very least go to another dealer and see what they can offer you. Make it very clear that you are going to see another dealer and see if they change their tune.

I bought my Taco in February and once I told the dealer that I bought it from that the first dealership that I visited promised to match any price I got from them, they couldn't drop the price fast enough. I ended up getting my Taco at dealer invoice + TTL. The important thing is that you make them EARN your business. As far as I can tell, thus far, they haven't. If they don't give you EXACTLY what you want, walk.

His truck, his decision. If the dealer won't move he can either buy or move on. It's really that simple.

The sales guy has no control at this point. He fucked up selling you on something he wasn't able to follow through on, and now his hands are probably tied behind his back by the sales manager. I feel bad for the guy in a weird way. Everyone screws up.

Sorry to hear your dealer shafted you OP. This is one of the reasons I always buy on lot vehicles unless it's a colour thing (then they can usually pull one from somewhere). I like being able to touch and feel what I'm actually spending thousands of dollars on.

I don't feel sorry for him. Fuck him. He's in this position because he lies instead of saying "I don't know." He did it again today. I asked him if the keyless entry that they're talking about installing is Toyota or aftermarket, because I want OEM. He immediately said it's Toyota. Just found out it's aftermarket. That's why we're in this predicament m

Why on earth are you still dealing with the asshats?? Get your $4,000 deposit back and buy what you want elsewhere.

You're now allowing yourself to get walked on by the dealer, time to move on with a new dealer.... period.

YOU just need to "Man Up", make a decision, take a walk or buy their mistake! Forum opinions are not the place to make 30K plus purchase / investment decisions.

I thought all vehicles have cruise control, just like having A/C. The only one that I've seen that didn't have it in the last twenty years is the POS '06 base model Ranger at work.

The keyless entry and cruise control wouldn't be negotiable in my book. The sliding rear window is perfect in my application (K9 in Kennel in rear folded down seat) but might not be a deal killer if you won't use it often.

When you have human passengers back there, they won't want it open while you're driving. And.......it's not something you can open and close by yourself while driving....
