They are all 12+ years older than me haha. But the 79-81 is definitely my favorite look too. or a 85 4runner.

I just wish my damn wheel wells weren't so small compared to calls so I could fit 35s easily. Basically have to run Glass to do it.

We have to cut the shit outta our fenders or run glass.

Trying to talk Eddy into helping me fit surplus HMMWV 37s.

37s are beyong sledge hammer time. Gonna have to relocate body mount and trim, replace the corner of the firewall.

    But 37s

Well…I found a hook up for my 81 pickup. Found a whole cab (interior included), hood, and nice set of fenders for a good deal. Super excited. This project may take off a little sooner than I had expected. I will have to swap my doors and seats. I'll have a Frankenstein 81'/83' when I'm done. I have wanted to do this for a long time. Always wanted to "build" my own truck. I just wish my dad lived closer to help me. Aaaaaannd on that note…we just found out that my dad needs an Aortic valve replacement, and Coronary bypass surgery. This is weighing on me pretty hard. I just don't like being 800 miles away. We will find out next week when the surgery is. I'm thinking the next week or two.

Thanks Scott. They did catch it early, which is good, but still scary. My dad is cool, one of the coolest. If you talk to him about it he just says "it's ok, we'll get through it, one step at a time". He's a strong man, being strong for his family. My mom on the other hand is tore up about it. She has been an RN for years. Worked at the same hospital since I have been alive (I was born at that hospital), and now she pretty much runs the place (manager of the entire CPU system AND head of the maternity ward). She is a Phd in something, computer science or whatever, not really sure (and something like 4 master degrees). I call her Dr. Mom.

Dad is right though, one step, day at a time.

Great news about the truck. Hate to hear about your dad. Hope you guys don't mind me "interloping". I am originally from Lexington, SC and thought I would pop in and see how the hometown boys are doing. I'm in Lexington getting ready to put my dad in hospice - assuming he gets out of the hospital. Spend every moment you can with your dad - when it gets down to it, each moment is something you can never get back.

When I win the lottery and SAS i'll run 37s at least and i'll wheel till I'm sick of it. Till then i'll drive it like I stole it on 285/75/16s with open diffs.
