    Little update:

My engine noise turned out to be worse than a little gunk in my PS filter.

    d01e0bbad44227a9e803d22a0d636e90_7848687955b92e76467909405810e8894dc643ff.jpg

My idle pulley for the AC froze up and burnt the bearings, which in turn caused my AC belt to snap. After all that my truck sounded normal. Picking up my new pulley tomorrow hopefully that'll fix it.

Flushed my PS fluid as well haha.

But the big thing is my truck is officially paid off! :D  :goingcrazy: :yay: :bananadance:

Yeah it's awesome! Well money will be split into 3s. Saving for an apartment, mods and savings hah.

Yea it turned out to my AC pulley not the PS at all, but a good flush was still needed ha

Hey man, if you havent gotten your Icon coilovers yet then you have the same front lift setup as me. I just had a quick question abou it, does it almost beat you to death when you hit bumps or holes in the road? I know is going to rougher than stock for sure, I felt like mine was a little too rough though. Maybe there was something I didnt do that I should have. I took the sway bar off the other day and that sofened it up a bit

I have not yet, that's next year (hopefully)

But yeah it rides rough (I came from spacers so its better than that). I've been doing some research but haven't found much. Post around some other threads and maybe someone can give more information. My guess would be too much preload but :notsure: I thought about taking the sway bar off but as of right now I use the highway too much to justify taking it off

I called toytec and they informed me about the preload situation and said to have the 5100'S set at the bottom ring which I do. And the sway coming off won't really affect highway driving due to your coils being way stiffer than the stock coils. That's what I've read and so far, it's only been 3 days, that's what I have come to notice

:anonymous: i took my sway bar off when i did my steering rack to get it put of the way and i never put it back on. Im running 5100s up front on stock coils on the middle setting. There's a little more body roll but it doesn't feel out of control what so ever. Even quick maneuvers feel fine

Make sure you have a 12mm deep socket on a 3/8 drive with 6in extension and u-joint adaptor. Go in from the wheel well on the passenger side. Almost impossible to get to the Bolts any other way. Btw, love the grill man. I need to find one for my 04 grill that I swapped onto my 98 Tacoma. I was looking at icons also and damn they're expensive. You think it'll make the ride that much better for the price? Or is there more advanatages to them that I dont know of over the toytec coils

My dad has plenty of tools! One thing I'm going to miss dearly when I move out :pout:

Ha thanks I bought it with the truck so I can't tell you much about it haha. I know its mainly just mess attached to the grill.

Yes to be honest I've heard it's like riding on clouds! But going full mid-travel will greatly increase the ride comfort and overall performance of the suspension. The only downside is that they require re-building every so often. I need to do more research on them before purchase but those are what I'm going with :D

Okay man, I got you. I'm gonna do some more reading around On high end coilovers to see what I can learn. I would really appreciate a softer ride and being able to keep my lift. I just get worried about my truck slamming around on the road and something messing up, haha.

I still take turns (when im messing around when there isn't anybody or anything near me) hard enough to lose traction in the rear and squeal a tire with it off. It rolls a little more but its not crazy by any means. Unbolting the sway bar was the easiest thing ever. I didt need any extwnsions or anything. I dont have my skids on though

I only had trouble with the passenger side on mine. The way the exhaust was routed put the pipe and cat righ tin the way of getting to the bolts with my rachet. So got some extensions and went in from the side of the wheel well and dropped in right on top of the sway bar bolts.
