    How much more complicated is the 22R-E vs. the carborated 22R Andy?
    Is there a ton more electrical to sift through?
    I had the 22R in my 87 hilux and it was super simple.

    It has an AFM (basically a more mechanical MAF) and a TPS sensor, obviously fuel injectors, a cold start injector/timing switch, other than that there is not much to it. I redid all the ground wires and it now starts better than it did when I bought it :D.

    I remember servicing the carb on mine & how simple the whole thing was. I figured it to me more complicated but I didn't know how much.
    I'm not much of a motor head ~ I just make things look pretty. :eek:

    It is pretty simple, there are just more sensors and circuits with the EFI. The blocks and ignition are the same.

    I am pumped now. Gonna flush the cooling system and finish bleeding the steering tomorrow if weather permits.
