Do you have an ultragauge?

 

My ultragauge threw an impending trouble code P01111 which is like an intake temperature reading thats off, im assuming cleaning my MAF sensor will fix that. I guess its something that does not trigger a CEL but the gauge picks up on more than just CEL's...who'd a thunk. Hope you're able to find out the issues and that they are really nothing!

Has anyone been to Wooly's? Is it worth makin a 2 hour trip down there?

 

There is an intake air temperature amd pressure sensor that my be causing that. The CEL is designed to come on when an emission monitoring component has deviated from set parameters or values programmed into the engine computer. Depending on whats going on may or may not be harmful to the engine.

 

I don't have a scan gauge but I do have a code reader and it is not bringing and codes up on it.

 

Certain code readers only read P codes. I have one I got fron snap-on the reads abs codes too

 

Go to Each front wheel and make sure your wheel sensors are still plugged in all the way. When I had my 6 lift a really sharp turn would do the same. I finally had to re route the wires to keep them from getting tugged on

 

Yeah that might be it. Yalls truck is different then mine. My wheel sensor throws a check engine light

 

Thanks Mike. Since I have had issues with the MAF throwing codes in the past (URD TCAI seems to get dirtier quicker being up front), Ill clean the sensor and if that doesnt fix it Ill look at those other sensors next.

On another note, I got "permission" to get UCA's. I know TC are very common and good, you guys know anything about the Camburg uniball uca's? I think im stuck on TC but just want all opinions (good and bad) from both before I pull the trigger.

 

The camburg uniballs do not correct allignment very well. They don't have camber or caster (can't remember which one) adjustment like the others do. Or so I've been told. If I was getting uniballs Id probably get DSM uniballs only because they are about $100 cheaper. If you've got the money I've heard TC are supposed to be one of the best.

 

Tc has 1" stainless uniball which will be louder but last longer than a Teflon coated uniball. They are also more common than 1.25 It also has two coats of powder coat on the uca. They also have 3* of caster built into them.

Camburg has a 1.25 Teflon uniball that is much quieter than the stainless, these also are a bit stronger than the 1" but not many people.carry 1.25 uniballs. Camburg has 2* caster built into the uca.

Both are very good uca and you will be pleased with either ones.

Then you have dirt king uca, you have dsm uca, icon uca, and many more to choose from.

 

I've had a slight vibe in my steering wheel (even at idle) since I've been back from LBL. I popped my hood and boy is it really dirty. Any problems if I hose it down good. Anything I shouldn't get too wet?

 

no, but you can leave the engine running if you're not comfortable

Yeah I spray off my motor all the time. It doesn't seem to hurt anything
