    '15 DC MGM TRD Sport 4x4 6spd 4.0
    5100s, 885s, deaver AAL, Waiting impatiently to install Demello front bumper, Mobtown sliders & skids, and safari snorkel.
    Just bought a '15 DCSB v6 6spd, looking to do a rear disc conversion. Has anyone else done this or any tips on the install.
    I know my way around auto repair and most major work on vehicles but never done this one. Thanks for the help.
    And while I'm in there maybe new leafs, thoughts?

    2019 Rubicon 4 Door,
    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    You'll have a longer braking distance. You also have to change the booster, as well as the brake components themselves.

    Ok, so scrap that idea. Lift,tires and wheels it is! Thanks for the heads up.
    Its been awhile since I had drum rears and discs in the rear were always an upgrade in stopping power and shorter distance.

    Wife has a 4Runner with discs front and rear and the brake performance is light years better than my Taco. Just curious where that feedback comes from ? I would kill for my truck to brake like our 4 Runner...

    That's because the brakes on it were designed, and engineered for the 4Runner. The Tacoma brakes are completely different. FWIW, the Tacoma has the best stopping distance in its class. PM MJP2, and ask him abou thte rear disk brakes.
