OEM 2014 Tacoma Navigation Radio

For those that already have this unit and still follow this thread. Just an FYI..... I've had the unit for many months now and got in my truck 2 days ago and it automatically notified me of an update. It downloaded and installed and I really didn't see anything new. Just happened to see in my email later that day, a message from Entune talking about that update. It was just an update for iheart radio and slacker radio in the Entune app suite.

You will need to download the Toyota Entune App Suite update from the Apple or Google Play app stores on your phone. This will update the iHeartRadio app to the latest version and add the Slacker Radio app.

You will see this Entune App suite icon in the app store.





To update the iHeartRadio app to the latest version and add the Slacker Radio app,

Register to start listening


1. To start listening to music, you will need to register with iHeartRadio and/or Slacker Radio. You can do this within the Toyota Entune App Suite on your mobile phone.

• Select iHeartRadio or Slacker Radio and follow the prompts to link your account. You will find these under Settings, Manage Apps, then click iHeartRadio or Slacker Radio.

*If the customer does not have an existing account, select "Click here to create one" or customer may also log in using Facebook login.


2. When your account(s) are linked, you will see either a green check (iPhone user) or a blue check (Android user) for the app:















3. The next time you connect your phone to the Toyota Entune App Suite in your vehicle, you will be prompted to download a software update for the head unit. In order to use the new applications in your vehicle, the head unit software must be updated.



To receive these new services, please make sure your phone's operating system is up-to-date with the latest version.

I received and installed my unit today, totally Plug n' Play just had to swap units, everything work flawless including my Entune Apps, I think my unit is brand new was manufactured in March 2015.

Its got a good Navigation system also, love the voice to location while driving. Works very well so far in limited toying with it.'
To think stealership wanted $1300 for the nav upgrade. After Ebaying the Plus this is a $150 upgrade thanks to seller here. Best $150 i have spent and you kinda just put $1,000 equity in yer truck.

 

Are any of these still available ?

 

I'm interested too if there are any left.

If you have the Entune plus unit you don't need an extra GPS antenna you already have it, what kind of tacoma do you have?

 

everything works flawlessy..
one question..i can provide pics after..
after rushing to take off all the connectors from the unit and putting it all back together, i can across one plug that didnt have a connection..what was this plug for"?

 

Hate to say it. At the dealership, trade in value, still doesn't mean squat.

I like the upgrade. Done it myself too. Just remember, as long as you like it, thats all that matters. Save the old one, if you ever sell the truck, you can put it back in and sell the upgraded one.

Here is the back of the unit.. the top row.. the middle one.. i didnt have anything to plug into that.. is it suppose to stay open?

 

This conector is open all the time and it was mt from factory, I'm still thinking for what it is but don't worry mine is mt too

 

I had the same empty spot and asked but never got an answer a
as to it's purpose.

 

Maybe it is the Party Mode slot for the switch?

 

Does a PM get sent to the person's email once they reply? I am new to this site.

 

Only if they set up their account for it.

 

People still trade in their cars n trucks? Talk about throwing money away, its like going to a pawn shop rather then Ebay or CL something.

 

I bought a nav entune about 1 yr ago, now I seem to be having problems. Nav stops, blank screen on startup, phone won't sync. There is no sequence of events that I can pinpoint to duplicate these problems.
Any help would be appreciated and will Toyota warrantee these radios?
