Go with a 285/70/16 and you won't rub. 285/75/16 and you will rub.

    ^This.

285/75/16's here and I had to trim to not rub going into driveways and parking lots at full lock.

The height will cause the rub.

i want a little narrower tire, so looks like a 265/75/16 they are about the same height as the 285/70/16.. jus about an inch narrower,,,

If you want a narrower tire go with a 255/85/16, it's a true 33 and won't rub on your suspension.

i must be missing something,, u said a 285/75/16 and i will rub. because of the height

a 255/85/16 is taller and it wont rub,,

    285s are 32.8" tall IIRC

255s are true 33" but much narrower than 285s

if a 285/75/16 will rub because of the height, how can a 255/85/16 not rub when its a taller tire,,

Because it's more narrow. There is a fine line there ...

ok so i bought a set of 17 in pro sema wheels, grey for my cement pro... 285/70/17 or 275/70/17 for no rub,, not going with an aggressive tire because they are my summer set of tires and i want quieter tire.. maybe some cooper at3's,, they must be quieter than the st max ?, i want a c-load,, i dont know why more tire manufacturers dont offer more c-load options,,

Check out the nitto ridge grappler. It's a 285 in a C load. Also these tires rub because of the width. That's why if you have wheels that push it out further towards the firewall, you'll rub more. At most you'll need to do a CMC.
