That's pretty much the plan, I think I'm going to do something similar to that link Chow posted, probably take some 3/16" plate I have kicking around and drill some 1.5" holes in two pieces of it, then slide the tube into those and burn it to the frame. I need to burn my frame plates on soon, too. Hopefully I'll get time to knock that stuff out before heading to the White Rim in late April.

Need to get a proper list of things to tick off the list before I leave. I sold my Cooper's, thus funding some uniball UCA's, which has been my biggest goal to get sorted out for the truck before this season picks up.

    I'd like to accomplish:
    - Install UCAs
    - Full inspection of all suspension and steering components
    - Alignment
    - Rear shock relocation
    - Frame stiffeners
    - Finish underbed box (shouldn't be that big of a deal)
    - Build slideout for bed box
    - Buy a bunch of turnbuckles to secure cargo boxes to the top of the flatbed
    - Check engine fluids, double check air filter after replacing it post-roll, check spark plugs, etc., maybe clean throttle body.

    Probably other stuff.

Get rotopax and mount below flatbed.

    Camp lights under flatbed.

    etc.

Turns out my control arms are on a 2-week lead time. Might be canceling that order to get something sooner so I'm not installing them a week before leaving.

Had a lazy day today, got to home depot to pick up some supplies to bolt the cargo boxes down, got the big one secured but need to get smaller turnbuckles for the other two boxes. I also started laying out what goes where. I think I might get another box for the empty spot by the cab for food/cooking gear. The frontrunner 45l tank will live about where you see it here, unless I decide to do a 20l water can on the passenger side below the bed, and a gas can on the driver side...Probably won't have time to fab up some can holders before the trip.

    That'll happen...

Once the bed frame is less see-through.

I'm happy I went this route as well, it's been really useful so far and looks great. I'm glad I came to the realization that the M416 route was literally just a box in which to place other boxes.

So the 416 style box will sit on this ? Or do you mean you're scrapping that idea ???

Scrapped that idea a while ago due to this being too drawn out and too much stress.

Originally the box was going to sit on the lower part of the flatbed frame and extend upward from there.

Today started out with news from All-Pro that they'd pull my order and refund me, but Tracy would look into it to see if they could get me an exact ETA in order for me to plan accordingly given my time constraints in prepping for Moab.

A little later he shot me a message informing me that they'll get the order shipped out by Wednesday, and with a 3-day transit, they should arrive Monday or so. Pumped! I know AP has a reputation around these parts for poor customer service, but of the handful of times I've contacted them about various questions, they've always been prompt and great to work with.

Maybe it's just the manner in which I communicate with companies, I do so much communication with vendors through work, I've figured out being direct and professional seems to net great results...

Anyway, UCA's are on their way - no more planning on replacing the upper ball joints for reassurance before the trip. Just lowers and UCA's.

And I think spark plugs to make sure the current set aren't too fouled up... noticed a mild lack of spunk from the engine after the roll. Hopefully the intake tubes were fully drained of oil, but I'm not sure if the new filter has gotten small spatterings of oil residue.

Anyway, I really just wanted to praise All-Pro on their badass customer service, they really stepped up and surpassed my expectations when they really had no obligation to push the order through so quick with a 2-week lead time.

Very cool build. I don't know how I missed this one. Hopefully I can see this in person soon.

Did you add a tube to your CO2 to use it on its side, or just stored like that? How is it mounted?

You can't use CO2 on its side, so I just remove it and set it on the ground. The bracket I have is the powertank super bracket, super secure.

You can, you just need to add a stem on the inside to pull from the new "top".

I was going to mount mine under the truck using the spare tire crank and do this to the tank, but not sure I have enough room under there to keep it from hanging down too far.
