    Does their new version have the multiple shackle mounting points so you can dial in your shackle angle of the dangle and play with spring rate etc ?

    Yup. 3 sets of mounting holes to connect to the frame and then 3 sets of holes for shackle. It gives you a lot of adjustment range for leaf/shackle combinations.

    I've been contemplating the mod myself just to be able to play with the variables, particularly how shackle angle affects spring rate. I already have a custom leaf pack so not extra lift is needed just sick of how " dumb " leafs can be with our stock hangars and shackles when trying to tune in ride quality.

    If you want something to tinker with than the ATO is the way to go. Good strong piece as well.

    Thought I read that they go flat to almost negative arch with a flip kit.

    No extra lift? I don't need any.

    You'll gain .5 to .75" of lift. Nothing wrong with flat or negative arch on OME, designed for it per ARB.

    You want lift? Throw longer shackles on and you get exactly that.

    The flip does beat up the leafs regardless of which ones you have but the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages IMO.

    No, I don't need lift, but I can see that as a bonus. When things sag too much, just correct it with a longer shackle.

    So an ARB rep said, "No worries mate!" lol.

    Moab is gonna be awesome, and indeed they endured 16 rivets from hell for me and I wasn't even there!! :cool::eek: Really awesome friends, that somehow always make you reach into your pockets and buy some more parts after some sweet talking on the CB...haha You'll see at Moab if you run some trails with us (which you better!!)

    I don't have an AAL, but if the rear gave me more lift than I wanted with the flip I'll pull the overload leaf to make the pack a bit smaller. Being loaded down for the ride out to Moab I may reconsider that though. (Not sure if you we're talking to Ckeene or me)

    There is tons of info about Dakar springs and negative arch and how ARB says its acceptable/designed for it. Others still disagree, either way leaf springs are exactly that...consumables. Only so many times you can bend a paper clip before it snaps right? sort of the same deal with springs especially with the flip kit getting things all flexy
