Has anyone used aluminum to fill the hole for the taillights in the fiberglass? Thinking about glassing it in and doing led brake lights but saw a pic somewhere where someone used aluminum and it looked pretty good, cant find the pic though

Thanks for the heads up! Ill check it out, I saw a thread on dr on how to fill them in with fiberglass, but figured it would be easier to use sheet metal and it might look trick and hold the round lights better.

Are they still in business? I've seen that truck driving around Escondido before. Let me tell you it does not drive straight, tires were probably replaced due to uneven wear

How are the 4x4 guys setting up droop? I spun the axles till I felt a very slight cv bind then strapped it an inch higher. Am I ok?

I wouldn't strap it that high. But I'm a short hair away from full retard. If it binds, bring it in a 1/4" and run it.

Don't forget to account for straps stretching, usually one inch of stretch per foot of material.

Speaking of TRAC. Put there front end to some abuse this weekend. I'm really happy with it. Was out doing some testing for a 300 mile run I got coming up next weekend.

    Buy better straps.
My 22" TG straps have only stretched 1/8" over the last 3 years.

Is there that much difference in the front ends of Tacomas vs 4runners? This thing dosnt look close to lining up, but was once installed on a tacoma clean as a whistle. Are the shock tower holes clocked differently? In this picture I've got the holes lining up to show how far off it is from where it needs to be.

Dirt Designs, have you guys ever fitted one on a 4runner? Is there a 4runner cross over tube that you guys sell special? Bad ass design by the way, should be strong as heck when I get it in there. I've got a friend with a tube bender so one way or another it'll get on :)

Front long travel custom: king 10" CO, solid lowers, fabbed spindle, heimed everything ect. Rear still in progress, waiting to be put on: bilstein 9100s, T100 axle. Stock 3.4 engine, 4.30 gears.
yeah idk how he keeps getting business, Brian's a special case to say the least.

He filed for bankruptcy last summer so that's how he kept his business without paying back all the people he owed. I was one of them so I got to see the full list of all the people he screwed when his lawyer sent his bankruptcy claim out. Its so far in the past I don't feel bad speaking up now lol

As far as the kit goes look at the videos of "battlescars" on his build page I think its the same kit, actually cycles well and runs good if tuned right... But yeah stock rearend on Brians, not worth 3k imo...
