Test drove a 2015 TRD pro, it has some noticeable drive line vibrations 15-35 mph or so under full throttle from a stop. Is that normal for a new truck with 30 miles?

I also noticed the front sits higher than the rear, its a shame they used the weak 3+1 overload (tsb) springs.

My new 2015 sr5 does as well. Soft springs and hard acceleration means the pinion points up during acceleration. I don't think you're going to do anything about that unless you have traction bars or stiffer springs. As long as its smooth at speed I wouldn't worry about it much.

My 2015 DC SR5 is as smooth as a babies bottom. No vibration?

Either my truck doesn't do this or I have no idea what you're talking about. LOL

2015 DCLB SR5 4x4. Seems to run smooth to me. I even got annoyed at someone on the way home from the grocery store and put the pedal down this evening. Only thing abnormal I noticed was my K&N Intake making a crap ton of noise!

Mine is very minimal but there if I punch it and feel for it. Driven "normally" I don't feel anything.

I'm referring to vibration under full throttle; from a stop.

Yup. Common. Pinion angle pointing up from acceleration. I didn't notice mine before the supercharger. :D

Haven't noticed any vibrations of any kind with my Pro....then again, I don't make a habit of mashing the skinny pedal from a dead stop (plus it is auto trans). I have jumped on it from 10mph or so to get on a short freeway ramp and such and never noticed any issues. Was the one you drove an auto or a stick?

Most these truck have that problem. Depending on how you drive you may or may not notice them. 4 people at my work have tacomas ranging in age from 2012 to 2015. 2 single cabs, 1 extended cab and one double cab. They all vibrate too. I put traction bars on because the vibrations were much worse with the supercharger. The traction bars eliminate the vibration. Lift kits make the vibrations worse also. Do some searches around here and you will find its a very common topic and many many many tacomas have it. Every single one I test drove had it too.

Toyota does know about it too. So don't the dealerships. They release a TSB once in a while for a half assed fix for it, never really works.

Did you have anyone from the dealership along for the test drive? Just wondering what they thought of the 'full throttle from a stop' action on a test drive...

My 2+1 OR springs don't have any vibrations. However, I can't say that I have ever needed full throttle from a dead stop. Maybe if I ever hire on as a getaway driver for a bank job.

It doesn't matter the transmission is equipped, they both do it.

My 11 TRD OR manual has never had a hint of a vibe If it did I would have never gotten gotten past the test drive. A brand new truck in this day and age should never do that. Shitty engineering by Toyota, period.

Understandable, but the truck should be able to handle its own power...

The salesman was a kid and didn't know what drive line was...
