    A lot!
I'm looking at putting an Ultragauge in my truck and would like to use/modify the Blendmount system obviously bastardized a bit to make it work...........UNLESS there is a better way to mount it up and out of the way, like, on the mirror shaft, above the mirror. Anybody else do this?

And, for those of you who use the Ultragauge is 6' of cable enough to go from the mirror to the OBD plug hiding the wires? It measures out that it will.

Yes on the length of cable. That is were I have mine. Ran under the edge of the roof and inside the pillar. Plenty of cable on mine. I used the stock mounting bracket so cannot help on the other issue(s).

I fashioned a "T" shaped bracket, used double-sided 3M super tape to attach the bracket to the dash and the UG to the bracket. Removed the slotted the coin tray and routed the cable.

Ya, going to the mirror. Where you gave it covers up all my light switches.

Did the same only on the left side near the A pillar. It does get blocked by the visor in the down position. Both when down in from or to the side.

    Stock for now...
Got a vertical sticky mount w/mine - stuck it to the dash just to the left of the cd slot , and yes , I actually use cd's . I'm 50 , no Ipod or Ianything , crappy old computer but can still burn cd's - good enuf . Like the gauge for sure , nice to see those temps .

Btw, does anyone else's unit occasionally "flash" off and back on for a second ?? I've checked the cable and plug end , nothing amiss there , is it just refreshing or something ?

Anyone ever try rigging something up with the little ashtray/storage thing that's in front of the fuse panel (image below)? I've been thinking about putting mine down there since I want it out of the way and I don't have to run the cable very far or spend hours taking my interior apart to run the cable.[IMG]

This is how I installed mine. I used the Ultragauge windshield mount and routed the cable trough the seam (or whatevers it's called) in the pillar.

There's an air bag right where your wire is.

You can easily move it to the other side AND it will be a bit more hidden. Just pop out the two plastic covers on the oh shit handle and remove the two 11mm(?) bolts. The whole piece comes off when you pull the handle. Note where all the tabs come out from while removing it. You'll see the airbags I speak of. The best I can tell is that they deploy right in the path of your current wire. Slide it behind the dash and to the window side of the airbag. You'll see some wiring tied behind the airbag. The airbag is thinner than the wire loom. Won't take but a few minutes. The hardest part is making sure you line up the a pillar correctly when putting it back on.

I mounted my brake controller there. Rarely do I hit my knee on it. But I do know it's there. Great place for the brake controller, bad place for the UltraGauge.

I had mounted mine low by the climate controls and it was just in the way, so thats why I went next to the mirror..my visor does cover it when down but that doesnt happen that often.....all in all a good spot and easy install...

Ok, used a RAM 376U pulled the lower bolt for the drivers side grab handle and used some washers to fir it out a bit to allow for the ball to be more exposed and allow for more adjustment. Now, I need the other end of the arm. Do any of you who have used the vertical adhesive mount on the windshield know the diameter of the swivel ball? Will it fit the arm of a RAM mount? If so this is the ultimate clean application

The point of mounting it there is to have it be able to flip in so its hidden. As for viewing it while driving, I've actually looked down a few times while at a light and I can see from my angle fine. Secondly on that point, I have no intention of looking at it while driving all the time, I just want to have it handy for 2 times a month I'm curious about something (bat volt, temps, etc.)
