hi all I did search a d have read threads on here and googled. As always, lots of good info but nothing that really points to my question.

New 2015 trd OR DCSB. Have 2k miles or so. Stock as stock. Driving last night and noticed two subtle vibes through the steering wheel. Auto.

First is a slight vibe while accelerating on an on ramp. As the truck shifts it comes and goes. Saw one post that it is just the way these are is that true?

Second vibe is at around 70 no vibe until I do a slight very slight correction to the right and I can feel a small but noticeable vibe. Is goes awayif I return to true straight. Does not do it if I turn slightly left.

Thoughts? Thanks. I will take my licks for adding another vibe thread if this is all redundant:)

The tacomas do seem pretty sensitive to vibes. I'd start by having the balance on your tires checked out if you are bone stock.

The acceleration vibration is typical. Soft leaf springs mean the pinion angle changes depending on torque applied.

The vibration at speed is something else. Likely a wheel/tire balance or alignment issue. You should look over the front end on a lift and check for anything being loose. Rotate and balance the tires and see what changes.

I do think the truck has some vibrations but the thousands of posts about it has everyone ultra sensitive too. It might also be worth noting that the Tacoma is very light weight, so vibrations are not as well dampened by the chassis as they would be in heavier rigs. Coming from my lifted JK on 35s and 4.88 gears with aftermarket axles and drive shafts, the Tacoma drives like a dream! lol

Thanks. I have an 05 xterra with a 5" lift, extra heavy duty springs, bumpers, winch, 285 e rated, and the tacoma is a dream compared. Just seemed odd on the vibes. :). Your note makes great sense.
