Played 18 yesterday. Made sure to focus on striking the ball flat and rolling my wrists over. Drove very well. I had a little bit of a fade, but I can live with that.

I was eagle chipping on 18 and ended up three putting. Need to work on the short game. I also need to find a 3 wood. Hitting driver off the deck on the fairway is completely stupid.

I can't hit woods or hybrids worth shit, no matter what swing coach I listen to. :anonymous:

I hate it too because when your out with buddies and you never pull the hybrid they keep saying "just swing it like your irons". Yeah, well I do and I put it right in the lake so STFU lol.

I try to use a 3/4 practice swing with fairway clubs....I was always trying to put my "Driver" swing on them...which usually ends in Epic failure....and ProV's are $4 a pop...and they still don't float...dafuq.

Agreed, but if I hit my 3 iron, which I hit consistently well (I ordered one from Nike two years ago), I can get the same distance as my 4 hybrid which I can't honestly hit worth shit. So why pull out the 4 hybrid? I have a 5 wood but it's only an extra 15-30 yards over my 3 iron, so unless I'm going for broke I'm probably better to lay up and us a wedge to cut off a few strokes...

That's my logic anyways. Why learn woods when I rarely need them. Instead I should work on my drive and short game because that's where I can actually cut off strokes.

Shot a 96 yesterday from the blues in soggy conditions. That's basically average for me so I was happy. I picked up the Jetspeed 3 wood a couple months ago. It's nice because the head is ago little heavier then others so I can do a smooth swing and litterly let the club do all the work. I was sick of going driver 4 iron wedge on par 5 so the 3 wood helps.

A guy on CL is selling a brand new R15 driver for $200! Trying to get a hold of him. Can't believe he would sell so cheap.

I picked up the Jet Speed this year for a hell of a discounted price. Personally the SLDR does nothing for me. Too much tweaking

no didn't play around with the adjustments, didn't have enough time, but seem to hit pretty good. I'll have to demo a few in the next week or so before I make my decision on which one

I got my rangefinder this weekend. Bushnell V3 non-slope. I'm hoping to use it this week. And it will probably replace the Garmin G6

Why did you go from GPS to Laser? Isn't the difference a few feet?

I'll take that used Garmin off your hands for the right price :p. Actually I've noticed a lot of those GPS units are falling in price like a rock.

I want to try it out. The laser is faster and more accurate instead of just to the middle of the green. I do like the GPS because I can see the layout of the hole.

Yeah the units are going down in price. I'm gonna hold on to the GPS for now

I shot a 98 on my first round. I had some excellent holes but I really struggled finding a good stance with my new Nike shoes. I also had issues over hitting the greens, I don't know what I changed but I'm getting 10-20 yards more distance on anything above a 9 iron for some odd reason.

Other than that I've decided to slow down my swing and hit the B330RXS since I seem to hit it well and keep the ball on the green when I hit them.
