2012 DCSB V6 diff fluids

    Hey guys Been doing some research but can't find definitive answer. I have a 2012 dcsb with the V6 sport. I am going to try to do my front and rear diffs fluid change and save some cash instead of dealer. I never tow so far and now that winter is over prob wont be using the 4x4 anymore.

    Is it
    $30 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)
    75w-90 for both front and rear? Do I need to add any addditives? Also how many quarts to go in each? I used redline back in my old car (tuned 06 Mazdaspeed 6) but thinking may switch to Mobil 1 as it is easier to get more locally. Any preferences?

    I am not near the truck right now so cant check manual Thanks in advanc

    Yes, 75w90 is good for both and no additive is needed. Rear about 4 qrts and front about 2 qrts. Use whatever ever oil you feel comfortable with. I've used mobil and amsoil, both with good results.

    What is the additive? And how much? In both?

    NO additive is needed. You have an open differential. I beleive an additive is used only in 1st gens. But other will chime in to verify this.

    The additive is only for LSD rear ends. It is for 05-08 or 09 2nd gens only. You just need to drain and refill. May as well do your transfer case while you are under there. It is super easy and takes the same fluid.

    Ok so rear end is 4, front is 2. How much for transfer? Also is there any gaskets or seals that may be needed replacement? Also is there a level that I can look for to make sure there is proper amount.

    Sorry for all questions. I have never done this before on the truck so just want to triple check stuff

    It's 75w-85 that is called for in the front & rear diffs. Verify this in your owners manual. If you'd like to replace the washers I have all the part numbers listed in the first post of this thread:
