My dogs have always eaten Acorns. 7 trees in the yard for them to feed on. They don't eat enough to call it a meal but you know dogs eat damn near anything. Never even had a sick pup. When I was a kid I even ate some, once you peel them they look like cheese...they don't taste like it though. I'd like to know if hats what made your dog ill.

Welcome to the club :p Our heeler is a year and a half now and every day is interesting. Keep training him and he'll keep learning. And get toys that he'll have to the think about. The cube with food in the middle that makes the food fall out when you roll it right is a favorite. And get a kong as soon as you can. As long as it's the right size they can't kill it. Make sure he has a nylabone or real bone to chew on, rawhides don't last long enough. Just talk to him and spend time together and he'll pick up on a lot just by being around you.

And all that alpha dog stuff people talk about, take it seriously. Walking through the door first, eating after you, eating when he's told, doing tricks for everything, etc. If they know you're in charge they'll just hang out waiting for you to tell them what to do. If they think they're in change they'll get into everything and be nothing but trouble. Heelers have to have boundaries.

We sure love our Weims. I've posted our pups many times. You can see them in my pics. I like her big white patch on her chest. It's not usually common for them to keep the patch. Glad you could save her. Molly looks like big girl, how much does she weigh?
