I just can't decide if I want military surplus 37's and recentered humvee rims, or if I want to spend twice as much for new civilian stuff but have more options for tire choices. I also have a pretty much new set of 33's to burn through before I can justify stepping up. Definitely going to skip the 35's though :D

Not sure why you guys hate on Defconbrix for paying people to do the dirty work. He's just a dude that shares your enthusiasm for sweet ass Tacomas but doesn't have the time/desire/knowledge/whatever to do the work himself. Maybe he'd rather spend time wheeling than sitting in the garage

I don't know who this Defconbrix is but I do know if I do go through with 37's they will me military surplus because I'm poor and have no money. Not really but I'd rather not spend $3000 on wheels and tires.

Just a dude on here with a nice looking truck and expo trailer. Check out his build thread here.

Military surplus tires and rims would cost me $3k (USD). The civilian double beadlocks and tires I want would be 6500 CAD. The rims are pretty similar too.. originally made by the same guys (Hutchinson). Prices are for sets of 6, before shipping and taxes :(

Dang that's a lot but I guess 6 37's aren't exatly cheap. I'm looking at ~1000 for 4 with some cheap nonbeadlock steel wheels.

$3K? How do you figure? You can get a set of four complete ready to bolt on (with tires!) for $1400 USD, then throw the spares on a set of steelies and you are still under $2K. Shipping can't be that much. http://www.trailworthyfab.com/12-Bolt-Hummer-Wheel-Special-w-TIRE.html

Well I priced em out on the website and it was about $500 per wheel & tire combo. That's with powder coat and rock rings and all the boxes I wanted checked.

Well I see how you could get up there. Get what you really want man. The price difference between the "cheap" set up and the fancy one isn't much really. Well considering the Canadian dollar is equal to the Mexican peso anyway. :D

I'll send you a picture if you like. It leans to the left a little, but other than that it's an impressive specimen. (your mom's words, not mine)

The reason I went with 37's wasn't because of the size of my member. It was because I was destroying so many 33's it was not economical to continue doing so. I destroyed a couple of sets of KM2's in one year. I think 7 of them were one summer. Haven't had a single flat with the military tires.

You do know you're approach angle would be better if you removed that plate bumper and cut out that front low hanging bull shit crossmember for the tranny lines and shit right?
