Hey all, I replaced my factory cab mount bushings this weekend with the kit from Energy Suspension. When it was all said and done, the rear of the cab is 1/2" lower than the bed. We checked and double checked everything and followed the directions, so I am not sure what the deal is. Both back corners of the cab are lower. I called Energy Suspension. They have asked me to take pictures and send them in. I do have a 4crawler 1" body lift, but that shouldn't make any difference. Has anyone else done this and have a similar experience? Thanks.

I installed the ES body mounts on my '00 extcab
    in combination with a 4crawler 1" BL.

I do remember the ES mounts were
a little bit taller profile then the factory mounts.
Even then... had no issue installing them.

    Mine bolted up without issue.
Tho' I do know the Dcab mounts
do not share the same bolt lengths as the extcab.
So maybe the mounts are not the same either ?

Possibly you received the extcab mounts instead ?

Pictures of your install would be helpful...
as seeing the body mounts could help us in determining
why yours are not fitting correctly.

In both pics, the bushing bushing(s) on the left are the ones under the front cab corners and the one(s) on the right are from the rear cab corners. What concerns me is they are the same height. I didn't take pics of the ES bushings, but the piece that sits on top of the mounting plate from the front were taller than those for the back. I verified the part numbers on ES's website before ordering, and the stated it was the right kit today when I called them. I am supposed to send them pictures also.

So comparing the pic of your factory rear cab mount bushing to mine, they are definitely different. I will email my pics to ES and see what they say. Based upon my parts and your pics, I am thinking that a dcab should use the same ES bushings on all 4 cab corners.

my ES BM bushings are for the extcab not your Dcab
and the ES design could be different now
    bought/installed mine back in '05

I know there was a difference in bolt lengths for the Dcab
and I know the Dcab's sub-floor is different at the rear.

But someone else will need chime in
to continue discussion regarding the Dcab's differences.

did the body rest flush on each mount prior to tightening the bolts ?

Hopefully your phone chatter with ES will net resolve

let us know how that phone call goes

I have an EXT Cab...When i installed my ES cab bushings the cab sat slightly higher than the bed. I added a couple large washers under the bed mounts to line everything back up.

I called my local Toyota dealer and had them compare the mount part numbers For my VIN to those of the VIN of my buddy's extended cab Tacoma of the same year. *Here are the results:

    My double cab--
    Position 2(under front floorboards): *52203-04080
    Position 3(rear cab corners): *52205-04060

    Buddy's extended cab--
    Position 2(under front floorboards): *52205-04060
    Position 3(rear cab corners): *52204040

Based upon the info aabove, dcabs and xcabs do share the one mount in different positions, but the other bushing is completely different. This will be more than just a couple of washers or shims...it is around a half inch difference. I will wait till I hear back from ES. Their application guide states that the 8.4107G will work for all Tacomas, but that clearly isn't the case.

When I read thru the 4Crawler website...

Roger shows a separate listing for the Dcab poly BM's
and his kit costs slightly more then the extcab.

I think that he alters the extcab's ES BM kit
    using alternative bushings/bolts, etc.

Unfortunately... Roger Brown cannot be contacted by phone
and will only have discussion thru emails.
So you would need email him thru the link below
and ask him what the differences are.

Roger Brown (4Crawler) likely knows the differences
between the Dcab and extcab and what is required for a proper BM fitment.

Roger knows more then Energy Suspension does.

Look at the link below... Polyurethane body mounts
and under Tacoma you will see the Dcab is noted individually.

Any question regarding.... is likely already answered...
But it's a lot of reading and can become confusing.

Often Roger will answer your question with a link
to his website... and what he has already posted there.

So have all your eggs in your basket
    before asking him questions.
Maybe peruse his site a little before addressing him.

    here's his email link/contact; sales@4Crawler.com

IMO you should have purchased from 4crawler originally.
It's where my money was spent when I did mine.
because IMO Roger Brown is the most knowledgeable body lift guru on the planet.

Boy, he has a lot more stuff than when I bought my body lift. Had I known he had the cab mount bushings, I would have ordered them from him.

Actually he has offered the ES poly mounts for quite some time...
I purchased mine from him back in '05
plus some 1" body lift pucks and longer bolts.

Can't you request a refund from your original purchase place
return those... a refund based on the fact it doesn't fit the Dcab.

and then order thru 4Crawler ?

    is what I'd do.

Not sure where they are already installed, but I will inquire. I actually just need one different pair of mounts, so I will also try emailing 4crawler to get more info about his kit for a dcab.

could be helpful to someone looking... if ya shared here
what varies between the Dcab/Extcab body mounts.

    good luck
