Last week in April works great for me! Is the barbecue still gonna be the 16th? Also, if any of you OKC guys wanna meet up sometime, let me know. I'd love to see how many OKC members we've got.

Yeah, 2 weeks ago I went to a big meet at lake Hefner, kid thought it'd be cool to take his Silverado onto the lake bed... Ended up getting stuck. Then the police showed up and after calling a wrecker they give that kid a fat $1000+ ticket.

Are we thinking Lake Hefner as the location?

I'm actually not sure how many grills they have, but they do have some on the south side. It's not a typical lake, since it's some of OKC's drinking water. The city is really strict about it.

It's a really nice lake though. They do kiteboarding, sailing, etc. There is a lake east of town too where there is camping, disk golf, etc. Lake Arcadia. A nice lake too.

Well I'm open to location. I know nothing about OKC. So any ideas or recommendations are very welcome.

How about we meet in the middle so everyone can go becuse some ppl may not have the gas to go all the way pay for food drink gas and tolls but I'm working with something with the state right now for ALL tacoma world members I'm trying to get free toll roads cuz the leaders in Florida had a head count of who's with them riding and they would pay with there cards but they could turn in receipts and the state would return the money

Only problem with that is there's really nothing between here and OKC.

Chandler has a pretty nice lake with good camping, fishing, and grilling areas. I know of some muddy roads to go play around on and 1 or 2 steep dirt roads to ease up if it rains.

Stroud has a decent lake as well. Both are pretty close to the turnpike entrance too. i think Chandler is easier to get to and slightly closer.

If Chandler is nice and easily accessible the that's fine with me.

It's either way. I know we did a meet in Tulsa last time and had some guys drive up from Southwest to rep the new group.

Might be better to have it at Lake Hefner or Arcadia so they can be a little closer, and maybe have a good turnout on that side of the state as well.

This is my thought. If we do it alternating we will have a better turnout due to one group always having a long drive.

I agree with the idea of alternating from place to place. I'm fine with driving up to Tulsa, but it's a 4 hour commitment. I think it'd be fun to find some good trails in Arkansas or somewhere nearby and do an official first trail run sometime in the early fall/late summer. We'd have to do something easy, so everyone could be involved. It'd be great if we could get a lot of us out there and do some camping. I know it's a long ways away, but that way we've got a long time for planning.

I definitely agree with the trail and camping trip. My wife won't go camping with me, so this is an excuse to get out with some cool dudes and trucks, and chill out after a day of wheeling. Maybe my sliders will be in by then...... although I'm beginning to thing BAMF doesn't really exist.
