If only it were in good taste to make a Malaysian Airlines joke or mom joke. Oh well.

I actually did lose a vehicle (not Tacoma) once. Parking situation was that there were about four different places I might park the car (was hard to find a spot) and I often didn't move the car for a week or more. So it wasn't too unusual to walk to where I thought the vehicle was and then realize - "oops, that was last week, it is in another spot".

Well, one time I checked all four spots it might be. No car. Wasn't likely to have been stolen, but I was really perplexed as I honestly couldn't recall exactly where I had put it which was strange (especially since I don't drink or do drugs).

Finally I remembered that a week prior I was suppose to pick someone up to take to the airport and I parked in a reserved spot to run in and pick them up. Turned out they didn't need a ride and I got distracted doing something else and left the car in the reserved spot by accident. It got towed of course when the owner of the spot showed up and discovered some annoying idiot (me) had left a vehicle there. Fortunately it only got towed by campus police who politely just towed it to an unused lot to get it out of the way. Once I realized what I had done I called up the campus police, apologized and they told me where to go find the car.

I very much doubt I will ever lose a vehicle again :)

Once, 2nd year of college. Went to a bar with a fake ID and got extremely bombed drinkin car bombs. Smart enough to sleep in my truck. Woke up to a Statey knocking on my window with his maglite... After finding both of my IDs and questioning me, he was actually nice enough to drive me back to my dorm, and carry me arm-around-the-neck style up 4 flights of stairs to my dorm room. Bang on the door to which my stoned roommate answers, and throws me on the bed!

I shit you not... Only way I can explain it is that he must have respected the fact I didn't drive home.

Kicker is I had no idea where my truck was in the morning. Drove around Amherst all morning before we found it.

Actually...I go running every few days after work. 90% of the time, park in the same spot.

One night this past December, got back to my truck after dark and forgot that I had parked in a different spot. Really started to freak out and thought my truck had been stolen. Was on the phone w/ sheriff's dept trying to activate lojack when it occurred to me that I didn't park where I thought I did.
    I sure felt stupid.

You leave it outside the Monkey Bar?? Only place that I could think of to readily take fake IDs - all the others scanned mine profusely when I was there. Seven O's out in Sunderland was a pretty good place to get tanked also. My buddy and I would play our guitars over there on Thursday nights and never get paid, but free drinks all night long.

Sort of briefly "lost" my '74 Chevy 1/2 ton years ago in a large parking lot. While I was inside the store, a massive thunderstorm came through and tore off my camper shell. I was so used to seeing my truck with a top for all those years that it took me a few minutes to recognize and relocate it.

Never lost a vehicle but I have seen others do it. I was returning a rental at the Jacksonville airport once and there was a guy with a set of keys only. He said the car was somewhere near the downtown area. He parked it and forgot where it was. I hung around just to hear the conversation.

You know I think it was Monkey Bar! The place right near Antonios? I left Umass before I turned 21 so we didn't go to bars much.

Sure is the place next to Antonio's. Packed kids in there like a can of sardines.

Lost my previous truck for a weekend. Went to a different city to visit friends for summer break and rode with a friend of a friend to a bar. Some how got separated and they left cause someone thought I was going home with an old girlfriend. So took an 18 mile drunk walk to my parents at 3am cause my phone died and could get ahold of anyone that came out. Next morning told my parents I came into town to visit and needed my truck. So got my mom to drive me 3 cities away when I realized I didn't know where my truck was at since it was the first time I've been to the house the party started at. Had to go 2 days listening to them bitch about leaving my truck somewhere and not remember because I couldnt get ahold of anyone that knew the people who had the party.
