    Only fish of the day. Wife's first time bass fishing and caught a 3 pounder I would say. Didn't have a scale

    red shad with a bullet weight and 2 beads. She didn't know he was on until she was reeling it in. Thought she had hit some weeds and I seen it flip on top of the water and the fight started

    Nice! Yea that happened to me with this 8 lber. I was using a grey 5" shad (paddle tail swim bait) texas rigged. I thought I had hit some weeds since it was only my 3rd cast.
