That sucks, I hoped these would wear like my BFG ATs before. 40k on them and they still were great, selling them now that I have these on.

    Correct. Duratracs, not the coopers.

Rolling BFG AT's now in 285/70/17 with an Icon stage 1 lift. I've been pleased w/ my BFG's, but rarely see snow or rain in Cali. I'm intrigued by the Coopers, specifically in a 255/80/17. Aside from a narrower tire & lower rolling resistance (lower mpg's ?), what are the advantages in moving to the 255's?

Long time Jeeper new to Tacoma I have run Cooper tires on the Jeeps for many years with amazing results especially when you consider the made in USA and price point. Did not care for BFG rugged trail on new to me truck just installed cooper ATP's [did not need or want the monster Mudder look] and the ATP will get me there just fine

Welcome. FYI, Cooper is a global company, tires are made in and outside the U.S. I'm not sure where the ST MAXX tires are produced...

    See link for more info.
