    I have a lot of weight in the bed. Oxy acetylene cylinders, 750# welder, whole tool box full of welding rods, tools, extension cords, 100# wire welder, lots of scrap steel, etc. It adds up lol. I went to the scrap yard the other day. Coming out I weighed 8800.

    Maybe. Most people don't leave their tuners turned up as much as I do because their trans will explode. They usually leave em at 50-75 extra hp so they don't break anything. Mine will hold all the power I can put through it so I have it turned all the way up :D

    Finally had my truck lifted. I went with 5100's all the way around with the front set at 0.85" (NOT 1.75" as I origanilly thought) and OME 885 coils. I did a toytech AAL kit in the rear. All I need is bigger tires.

    You're right. It's recommended not to preload. Run OME coils on OME shocks and stock or Eibach coils on 5100s.

    The 885 springs will provide enough lift on their own. I would get the spring perch lowered to 0

    Never heard of preloading &/or why shouldn't one do it...

    I didn't realize that the 5100s were a longer shock than stock. I ran my idea by a coulple of members and a buddy of mine at the 4wheel parts store and they said it would work. I'll admit, the lift is a lot higher than I expected, but I'm going to see how it works out. Thanks for the input!
