Oil is low but I don't see any puddles or smoke from my exhaust. I went from conventional to synthetic oil couple months ago but idk What's making my oil level go down. Any ideas?

Could've just got burned off since you switched, I'd go another oil change and see if it drops again to make sure it's a reoccurring issue.

Yea I'll change it this weekend and pray not to much damage has been done. But I'll go to a junk yard and find another 3.4L and do a rebuild on it. Does anyone know if the 4.0l in the 2nd Gen would fit in a 4x4 first gen with the R150F transmission? Just give me a wider range of options. If it does how much modification would I have to do? I always think of back up plans incase of the worst.

    No

It's a huge motor compared to our 3.4l and totally different tranny mounts and motor mounts.

Not worth the effor. Might as well do a v8

Dang, well was worth asking, if I wanted a v8 I'd just put my ls1 in it. But I don't think it's worth the trouble unless this was my play truck not a daily driver.

Glad I been saving money for a bunch of stuff though. If I'm lucky I might find a 3.4 with a supercharger just going to tear it down and rebuild it. But thanks for the info

Went to check my oil and I found no leaks and oil is a little above were it should be. Felt the oil filter and it's good and tight. My problem with the truck is when I shift it jerks or lunging like it's bogged down. Yesterday I had it scanned and the upstream O2 sensor is out. But I don't see how that can affect it just at shifting gears? I feel like I'm going crazy now lol. The error code is p1135

when you check your oil are you on a hill or a level surface? Sometimes it's that simple because not too long ago my gf said her oil was really low and added some, I asked if she was on an incline and she said maybe... ended up having to drain some of it

It's on a level surface. When I shift it's at 2500-3000 rpms. But after I shift and it starts doing the jerking it's about 1500-2000rpm. It happens when the engine is cold but once it warms up its all good. It shifts nice and smooth no grinding or a gritty feeling in the transmission. If the O2 sensor doesn't fix it I'll check the injectors. Called the dealership and they told me it had a new clutch in stalled December last year. I can't seem to isolate the problem. I never had a vehicle do this right after it shifted gears.

I think it's making me crazy lol. I been having this problem for a few weeks now. Rpms get to 2500-3000 so I shift to next gear and it starts stuttering/jerking no matter how far I press the gas pedal down. It doesn't fix it. So I downshift accelerate then try again. It's just right after I shift and let the clutch out this happens. This is my 2nd tacoma and my 2nd manual transmission vehicle. So I don't have much knowledge into this problem and haven't heard anything close to it. The gears affected are 2-3-4 I don't think it's my transmission though I been wrong. I'm leaning towards it being a engine or clutch problem.

Been looking into trying to find the problem scanner told me it's code p1135. But further searching I found out something called "clutch-chatter" and was wondering now, if anyone had this problem before? Let me know what it did when you drove it. Thank you for everyone's help so far.

Anyone know a place to buy a 4.10 ring and pinion for the front differential smallest i can find is 4.56

Guy who sold me his ifs stuff swore to me that he had 4.10's and turns out he lied or didnt know exactly what he had
