Same reason toyota made week leafs and frames for yrs and yrs.........to serve people who never use the truck as a truck instead of making trucks for people who want trucks to use as trucks. Another case of special interest limpocity ruining shit for everyone else.

$120.00 if you buy a skin, cap and two doors and have me ship it all at once.

    $95.00 for just the skin.

    7 business days.

ok here's the deal, I decided to take the oem cover back off to give you a general idea of whats the issue with mounting the mob's skin underneath the oem skin. If you're just mounting the skin solo, it's bolts up fine.

Here is one of the issues, latch opening/slots are to narrow:

    .
Another issue is that these tabs (3 total) on the back of the oem skin are in the way:

This is the problem the tabs cause when the plate is laid on top the oem skin:

I could take a dremel to widen the slots for the latch, drill holes for the plastic tabs or simply break them off, and it would work out fine. I rather not deal with any monkey business (*modifying), and I'm sure that's others intentions as well. True bolt on. I've already talked to the seller, and we're working it out. No issue there.

that's not the only issue, but yes that would solve one of them as I mentioned at the bottom of my last post.

Like a two second fix with a pair of scissors. Wouldn't even call that an issue. Hell, I probably wouldn't even remember that as a hold up.

For the cutouts, I'd probably just trim the plastic piece a hair to make it sit flush. If he makes the cutout any bigger then there is going to be a pretty big gap there for people who are just going to run the skin.

Small little quirks are expected when modifying a truck with aftermarket parts. I'd hardly call 1 minute of dremel time monkey business.

We opened the striker slots to lay inside the plastic skin. You will still have to cut off locating tabs on the plastic skin.

I am making your replacement right now and will send asap at no cost to you. Do as you want with the one you already received, no point in paying to ship it back to me. Thank you for the write up.

So, will this modified design be incorporated in future production, or is this just a one-off for tblizzard?
