    ECGS has 4.10s. Pricey though.

Shame I'm not home in wyo. I have my stock 4.10s still sitting in a box

I'm no expert but it sounds like a trans/clutch/linkage issue, not engine. But srsly I'm a keyboard mechanic, mostly have worked on suspension components...

I bet the oxygen sensor replacement fixes it. My thought is that the bad sensor is holding it in closed loop when it should be going into open loop. It almost sounds like a timing retard issue. If the timing and fuel mixture is wrong, the engine starts surging and won't accelerate. I've been dealing with it for a while from a different issue.

So cause the sensor is running on a closed loop it's making my truck run on retard timing? And ND when I replace it, then it should run like a Swiss watch if that's the only thing wrong that is. Just making sure I'm understanding you correctly

When the computer is in open loop it adjusts timing and fuel differently than closed loop. In closed loop it tries to keep the engine at 14.7 afr by taking readings with both oxygen sensors and self correcting. So my thought is it hangs in closed loop and you're not getting more fuel or timing like your engine desires.

Ah ok, that makes sense now. I couldn't figure out how a O2 sensor on the exhaust effect the engine this way. Kinda makes no sense. Thank you man

I just replaced a leaking heater core shutoff valve (water shutoff valve at the back of the engine on my 2.7l 3rz) and I'm wondering if there's anything i need to do about the coolant that came flowing out of the hose going into the valve on the right side when I took them off. Do I need to do a coolant flush of the whole system? or will coolant find its way to where it needs to be once I turn the truck back on>

Do you guys think a wire brush on a hand drill will be good enough to get surface rust off? I'm moving out soon and won't have access to my dads grinder that has a wire brush attachment.
