    The fans supported the team. The city refused to pay for a new arena. The new American ownership didn't want the team to stay in Winnipeg, they wanted to make more money in either Minnesota or Arizona. Bettmen liked the idea of moving to Arizona because he has a hard on for "trying to expand the game" into area's where it's destined to fail.

    If anything the problem with Winnipeg is that it is a government town. They don't have as many companies available for corporate sponsorship as other cities. At the time the city couldn't afford a new facility and the millionaires that could didn't want to pay. The fans had nothing to do with that.

    Hence the Jets moved. It had nothing to do with the lack of support from the fans, because throughout the process the fans were there. So I agree, go get bent :thumbsup:
