Interesting, do you have a DC or AC? Headstrong off-road is telling me I can get 3" with 885 on stock AC.

I'm guessing from brake dust. The previous owner must not have done anything to protect them. I've kept them clean and waxed since I bought it but I can't get the discoloration out (I'd guess if I sand through the clear coat and respray them I could but at that point, I might as well just powder coat them the color I want). I figure this will be a temporary measure until I can get them properly blasted and powder coated. I'm going to shoot for when I need tires next for that process and I'll probably have to get a rental car.

So does OZ, which is interesting that they aren't more similar unless the skids are causing the difference (which is possible, they are pretty damn beefy).

I forgot you aren't the only owner. I know you are crazy when it comes to cleaning, that is why I was confused about the wheels.

Yup, it was the gunmetal. No idea how it has held up, I traded the tacoma in with the SCS rims on it so they were never on the truck. I think someone on here has them, maybe they can chime in.

Yep, I've tried polishing them up but it's stained into the clear coat. I hate that look, one of my pet peeves. I hate enough to the point where it's driven me to use Plasti-dip. Sad day in the Pugga household...

MIke I had an AC and went with the IronMan Lift. It was under a grand and came with spring and shocks all around and the poly bushing for the rear. I think it was 2 1/2 inches of lift with stock bumper, which meant I didn't need control arms to get my alignment numbers. I sold my stock stuff on CL and ended up paying about 400 for a complete lift.

Thanks. I'm not worried about longevity, I'll recoat as needed until I can get them done right. I did some looking online and found they made a new color, charcoal gray. I compared the pictures online to one of your old photos and I think it'll be a better match. It's a little darker and, when you add the glossifier, looks sharp. I ordered a case on Amazon so we'll see how it goes.

A case could be overkill. The darker colors tend to cover really well. I am looking at doing some white plasti dip and they actually recommend using a gray basecoat first.

That must have something to do with it and his sliders.

Oh, it began with that truck the second I brought it home... It's pretty much done now. I'm still toying with the exhaust idea but not sure it will actually happen. It's set up with just about everything I want on it (or can reasonably afford). If I happen to come into a lot of money it will be getting an overhaul but, until that happens, I think I'm actually done
Case was the wrong word, I bought a kit. It comes with 4 cans of charcoal gray and 3 cans of glossifier. Should be enough for 4 wheels and a little bit of a learning curve.

I dont think that is going to work for me as Jacobs birthday is the 1st. Most likely his party is going to be on that day. Maybe the week before?
