yellow wire mod 2014

I recently cut the 2nd yelow wire on my 2014 4cyl access cab. The low light is now flashing as all the other threds say, when engaged in lo4. But the rpm's are the same as hi4. Anyone have any ideas?

 

Sounds like your not engaged in 4 lo.

 

I thought the yellow wire mod was for TRD sports only?

 

Its not beeping though. I've heard it beep when its not engaged. It went in low before i cut the wire and the revs were higher. Could it be the computer wont let it engage because it i cut the wire? Has any one else done the mob to a 2014?

 

So even the reg 4x4s have that feature? I thought it was TRD sport exclusive

 

On my 2014 I tried the mod too. It doesn't work, not at all. It pisses off the 4wd module like no one's business.. I spliced the wires back to together, unhooked battery and let it sit. That was two days ago and my check engine and Trac light is still on. I don't get it. And no I didn't switch the wires around.

Edit: it does work. I did the mod at the same time I did the charcoal filter and knocked a vacuum line loose. But anyway, its the yellow wire with the THICKER black tracer, second one down On the left hand side of the top plug.

the fist part has the potential of making a 14' owner that just cut the wire crap ones pants. Yes, that would be me.

 

Sounds like the sport to me. I don't think base or sr5 has lsd.
