yes. I was very scared to put back on my biking clothes after that fall. Mine lasted for a month or more also. used steroid creams and meds. I ended up getting a steroid shot also cause it was so bad.

    Lol.
Teva's for sure if you're just looking for something to dry fast.
If you want better protection you should look into Keen Gallatin's.

    Wow, that's pretty bad!

I used prednisone but got all agro on it so I stopped using it.
I then used a steroid cream and that helped a lot.

Never had to get shots though

Wow. I know it's an oil-based toxin that washes of with soapy water, but some people have long-lasting reactions. My sister had a bad outbreak on her feet (wearing flip flops in the Wisconsin forest) and had blisters for 2 weeks solid. She'd be almost healed, but then pop one of the blisters and it would spread around again. Nasty stuff.

Immune as well. Count myself lucky. My wife is not, the dog brought it into the sleeping bag while camping. Lasted about a month on her.

Yeah both my girlfriend and I are hypersensitive to poison oak. Whenever we go out on trails with any poison oak, we always have to take showers with tecnu right after getting home. I make sure to turn my clothes inside out as I take them off and straight into the laundry they go.

I don't even have to touch it on a hot day...

Tecnu extreme scrub is amaaaazing and works wonders at getting rid of the oils on your skin. Normal tecnu will get it out of clothes and tools and stuff, too. Good stuff!

Let me know when you end up planning a trip and I might be able to meet you out there! Check out Valley of the Moon in San Diego county, too. Very similar to jtree but with 0 people. Longer approaches but it's so worth it to have every single climb open. Plus the entrance is basically 4wd only, too. :D

I like mine. Its simple to use and works fine. Worth the money IMO. Small size and lightweight. Ive been mostly using mine with the bag...fill the bag and just just the filter with the nipple to drink from

I 110% endorse mine every chance I get. Really does a great job for its size and price. I picked up a 2L Platypus bag that has the same threading and I don't have to keep refilling the 16oz bag that comes with the Sawyer. Get the Sawyer quick disconnect kit for hydration systems, too. Squeeze fresh water right into your bladder without having to take it out of your pack. I rigged one up out of an extra male adapter from my 3L Camelback and it's so convenient.

Gallatins are similar to Chaco Evo. Ill need to go to the store and combine the two. May just get Tevas since they double as base camp shoes. but i would be sacraficing toe protection. Wanted something comfortable and light that I could use to quick trails around camp.

FWIW, I have a set of Teva's I use when I'm canoeing/kayaking a river or stream, and I've never stubbed a toe or anything during a portage. You get dirty feet incredibly quickly, though.

Have you hiked in the Gallatins? Over the weekend I went camping and hiked to some waterfalls for swimming. Was looking for a shoe/sandal that would be comfortable enough to hike in, swim, and cross streams. The Gallatins and Chaco Crossover Evos seem to fit the bill. Just wonderin which would be better.
