Theres a commotion? I have no clue whats happening since I don't watch the news and live on campus. The only news that circulates among us is where the parties are and when the next test is.

Except for when you make a stand as a Christian.

    this whole thing is weird

as a business, refusing customers is completely counterproductive, they should be able to shoot themselves in the foot- but on the other hand

"We're not discriminating against homosexuals, we just don't serve homosexuals"

    is irritatingly hypocritical

this isnt necessarily a good thing, you know

I think refusing a customer based soley on the fact that he or she is gay is discrimination. But......if I made wedding cakes and a gay couple wants me to build them a cake and I am opposed to gay marriage then I should have the freedom to say no. It might be bad for business but that should be my decision to make. And all these people who say Christians hate gays are just totally wrong. As an earlier poster wrote...you can't say anything anymore without being labeled as offensive or a phobe.

speaking of the pet rock guy inventor who died I saw where the pillsbury dough boy creator died. They say death comes in three so I am just glad I didn't invent anything..:) Unless somebody died before them that I didn't hear about.

Through the speck of time living on this planet, being an observer of the world around me, I have come to the conclusion that the two greatest catalysts for confrontation are:

    - greed
    &
    - religion *

This issue just fall right in line.

    * Should say faith really. It is not a specific religions fault when a human takes it to a level that wasn't intended.

There is no "freedom of religion" when we require children to recite the pledge every morning that indoctrinates them into religion.

It's the base this country was founded on. And when there were good religious morals there weren't the problems we have now.

This country was founded on greed more than religion. The conquering of a civilization.
People can have live responsibly and ethically without religion.
    Just saying.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
my take on small business going bye is the fact that a big business has more pull, capital, and backing to stay afloat over a boycott. small business, not so much

uhh...no. you're talking about a completely different episode. in a later season he has a skit where there are gay people in pink hooded robes.

yes...because the largest religion in the country with the largest backing of lawmakers who at least claim they are religious is being discriminated against. let me know when you get statements like this in your state constitution that ban people from office that say there is a higher power...

"No person who denies the existence of the Supreme Being shall hold any office under this Constitution."

i recite it the way it was actually written w/o the "under god". not the way it was rewritten w/ that forced in.
