Hey Chas! What kind of lift are you getting?

I'm going to get a group to head out to Peter's Mill Run/Tasker's Gap pretty soon. I haven't tried Tasker's Gap yet but it's right next to the Peter's Mill Run trail. Both are in Edinburg, VA about an hour west of Centreville/Fairfax.

Keep checking back here and I'll post more info on the trail meet.

I am doing a pretty mild lift, 884's with 5100's on all corners and a Toytec 1.5" aal. Figured a 2" lift all around will still allow me to park in DC garages if needed since I work downtown. Also a better ride than 5100's alone. I just had 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2s installed and will have spidertraxx spacers installed this weekend too.

I look forward to going on some of these trips!

Hey guys, I have at the request of Satin at Pelfreybilt to list an aluminum powdercoated bed cage for sale.

It received some shipping damage and carrier is denying the claim. Looks to me it was bumped into with a fork lift at the corner bending it slightly. I'm moving and can't take with me.

They think $650 is a decent price if you want it and try to massage it back into place. Feel free to ask me any questions or come by to look at it, zip code is 22150 or talk with Satin at Pelfreybilt.

    Thanks everyone.

    Hey guys / gals -

Thought I would give everyone a head's up in the local area - I am more than likely going to have some aspect of a rear suspension for sale shortly. I am doing the Ghost Divide Expedition on the way out to Overland Expo West and decided that was a perfect time to upgrade my suspension.

So, I went with the boxed Total Chaos front lower control arms, Total Chaos dual shock hoops, and King bypass shocks along with all the necessary gussets to make the front end bullet-proof (I just had an ARB air locker installed up front as well).

On the rear I actually ordered two sets of suspension components - I am currently running Old Man Emu Dakars packs on the rear with King 2.5" shocks. I ordered (a) Total Chaos hydraulic bump-stops and mounting brackets from Micah at Downsouth Motorsports and I also ordered (b) the rear shock relocation kit, Custom King 12" shocks, and another set of King hydraulic bump-stops and mounting brackets from Pelfreybilt.

Why two sets of hydraulic bump-stops you ask - well the set I ordered from Downsouth Motorsports will not work with the shock relocation kit setup from Pelfreybilt.

So, I am going to take all the components down to Vince and Nate at Forge Specialties and let them install the best setup and I'll sell whatever isn't installed. I'll post up the stuff after the week of April 20th - as that is when the truck goes in for the next stage of modifications. Anyway, I've ordered a little over $6k in parts and I am sure there will be a few parts leftover and I'll put them up here first.

    - Mark

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Mark, I just picked up some shackle flips and looking at a different leaf pack setup to include shocks and bump stops so I am in woodbridge and definitely interested.

I am looking forward to seeing what parts come up for sale. I have a small Honda generator I could offer up in trade as well.

I'd love to go but next weekend is no good for me. The weekend after is fine though.

Unfortunately it can only be that weekend. I am corresponding with the Chantilly Sports Card Show on Sunday before we head back to Myrtle Beach.

Ahh well have fun! Peter's Mill Run is a fun trail. Nothing difficult but the scenery is nice. You do have to buy a trail pass for $5 but I think any gas station in Edinburg sells them.

I saw it was a $12 pass for the weekend and the Shell station right off the exit from 81 has the passes. Been doing some research and looking forward to a new area to explore.

Sounds about right. The 1 day passes are $5. If you try Tasker's Gap let me know how it is. Supposed to be a bit more difficult that Peter's Mill Run.

Anyone have a recommendation on a shop that does powder coating? My sliders keep getting sandblasted in certain spots from the winter. I am tired of crawling under the truck to sand down and repaint the areas.

What about getting a can of rhino liner from advanced auto?

If not Danny is probably your best bet ^^^^^

I originally painted them with self etching primer and truck bed liner. I think that the way the water flys off the mud flaps it wears down the paint down.

I need to get all of my armor re-powdercoated. The shop down near Ft. Belvoir did a shit job and it is peeling and rusting on almost all of the edges and corners.
