IMO, a couple inches of lift is not worth the shittier ride quality, lack of downtravel, and the crap build quality vs OEM. It doesn't even really buy you any more off road capability on its own, if anything you're now more likely to break your suspension. Also, if you crank it all the way up to 3", you'll be out of alignment, which just makes everything worse.

A lift should make your truck better at doing truck things, not worse.

From what I have read on here good luck with getting that back to spec at any of the shops in Phx. Or most of you are using terrible shops. Makes me wonder what they are doing wrong, alignments are so easy to do.

My front is about 3.5" higher. Big two toyota has been able to get it aligned every single time. I've had to go back twice because it got knocked out of spec.

    Same goes with '11.

man.. have a beer. its friday.

if he wants to put it on his truck, let him. a small lift, regardless of what it is, allows for a larger tire, which, in the end.. is what yields ground clearance.

maybe he just does casual weekend wheeling. just wants/needs a larger tire.

Another thing that always makes me wonder about some of you. You shouldn't need an alignment every time you take your truck down a dirt road. Or most of you just don't give two shits about your truck when driving in dirt.

He can do whatever he wants with his truck, but if you come and ask for opinions, I feel totally justified in giving my opinion... My apologies for breaking the circlejerk

Ya I like to throw my truck on my Laser rack every now and then too, it's been rolled twice and driven over 100k miles mostly in the dirt and it's never gone out of spec..

I agree with you. But in the end its not my money or my truck. So its his call. Just offering what I thought his reasoning is.
I have never had a problem either

Oh I posted before seeing this. And yes if you come and ask for opinions its great. And I 100% agree with yours on the lift and saving for a good one. Its better to do it right the first time than to do it 3 times and waste a bunch of money fixing the same thing multiple times

I do give two shits about my truck driving wherever it goes. It was knocked out twice (primarily toe and cross reference) from taking a hard hit that was not expected. If you look at the stock alignment tabs on the truck, it is not built to do the driving I have exposed it to. It's going to get loose and get out of spec. If I were to hit the trails harder, I would build it differently. That's why I looked at heim steering kits and what not. But its not feasible or useful for my application right now. I'd rather save up for another toy instead, or more weapons, ammo etc.
