    I don't know the guy who makes them, saw it pop-up on my FB feed and thought it was a nifty DIY. I reckon they are cheaper than $150 for the Maglula....

    lol. When you first asked about stippling, I thought you were talking about a front strap on a .45....not a 2.
    I replied that I had tried my hand at it but, it was on a front strap.
    Honestly looks custom. You are your own worst critic. No one cares but you.
    Any way no meat tenderizer. I would finish it with the original thought and then clean it up lightly with sandpaper or a dremel and sand wheel.



    On another note it would be cool to have a pay it forward or fs/ft gun parts thread. We all prob have parts laying around that are collecting dust. I do.

    I started practicing stippling on those crappy ar grips

    go slow and use smaller points but really doesn't look terrible...just do like Chris suggested and lightly sand it and touch it up/finish

    Computers are back up. But, now they play 3 days of catch up. lol

    Meh, not so bad. I agree it gets cumbersome but, I am not sure I want a bunch of hoodlums out buying them like they can a firearm.

    BS you say?
    I have a multi state Gun Trust. I filed the proper paperwork and gave them a check for the Stamp.
    They obviously did their NCIS on the Trust and found no issues with and issued the stamp. I signed for it today, So then the person picking up the NFA item(me) has to be run through the ATF for a background check before taking possession of the item. Unlike buying a firearm when I show my ccw and can be out of the shop in 5 minutes without as much as a call, they run an actual background on me on behalf of my Incorperated Trust.
    I get delayed every time and just found out I am on delay again.
    I suspect not to hear from the ATF in the next 3 days and subsequently the shop has to release the NFA item to me after that time.
    I would suspect they are fucking with me as I know that Trusts are not very popular with some in the ATF. On the other hand 85 days turnaround on a suppressor is unheard of as it has been taking 5 months.

    The ATF game, not as fun as a PS4 but, feels better when you win.

    It is really not bad at all. Look into a trust. The waiting is the PITA part. I read somewhere that there were 200k suppressors purchased last year. The more people that take the plunge, the more "the norm" they become. Stamp collecting is fun!
