    Interesting conversation. At the very least, we can hope there was a positive take away from the conversation or something learned.

    Taking the debate even deeper into the distorted realm of reality, Why is it socially accepted by many and the media for a comedian to make fun of race, culture, religion and it is not socially accepted by an individual that isnt in the entertainment business to repeat the same words?
    Do comics get a free pass? It's ok because it is their job? It is ok because they are Jewish and making fun of Hebrews? White and making fun of whites? Blacks making fun of blacks? Or any mix of the above?

    Why wouldn't anyone of us be covered under the same blanket of freedom.
    I have no doubt the above comedy is not funny to many but, the question is why is it acceptable period?

    scientology is also a cult that sued itself into getting religious treatment. "going clear" is a good film about it's origin and lack of non-profit fundamentals that shows it's status should have never been granted. germany got this one right.

    I reckon that's true, though I've been to a gay club with friends to see a coworker who performs as a drag queen and had no issues. I got flirted with by a guy and told him I was in a relationship, and it was not a problem.

    I've foud gay people I know to be very accepting, probably in part because they know what it's like to be judged

    I would say the victim there is her husband and she is also breaking an oath. I get what you're saying though. My point is if it's not hurting anyone it's not likely to be immoral. It's just ignorant to compare homosexuality to rape and say that's why its a moral issue.

    i was speaking hypothetical to his hypothetical. as for the bold, i wholeheartedly agree.

    just because they're married doesnt mean there was an oath. marriage can be a simple contract through two parties and the State. in that same breath, nothing says the wife/husband didnt have an open agreement, so there would be no victim.

    OK dude you're the one saying its immoral. I don't know what the fine print said on this hypothetical marriage certificate but it's not the point. It's not our place to judge. I think that was also written in the good Book somewhere, no? Too many contradictions to count. People want to take some of the Bible verbatim centuries later and totally disregard other themes altogether. They will believe that dinosaurs walked the earth 7000 years ago because Billy Graham did the math but they treat their neighbour like shit because he likes dudes. Whatever. Where would we all be with our organized religion telling us what is right and what is wrong and who we pay for their guidance.
