That and isn't LT way more expensive for 4wd as well as a lot of wear and tear? BTW why are you converting?

Not a lot more wear and tear, just about an extra $1k for front axles.
I'm converting in the fall/next winter probably. Just because I'm tired of going on wheeling trips and not being able to actually take my truck out and drive it like I want to. Plus I have too much money sunk in my truck and too many miles to sell it and recover anything. Might as well keep it and make it how I want it.

Front and rear Fab Four bumpers. Warn Zeon10s winch. NFab rails, 17" TRD wheels, BFG Ko2, weather tech matts and wind deflectors
With $10k to blow, after purchasing a 4 door Off Road, I would consider the
Fab Four Prerunner font and rear bumpers with a Warn Zeon winch terminated with a Factor55 shackle. A bit heavy, whatever. Nfab rails, weather tech floor mattes and window defectors. Lift it just a little, roll some 17" black TRD Pro wheels with Ko2's.on it,add Bushbuster pocket fender flares and a Factor 55 receiver hitch. Keep the OME roof rack on until bar lighting and a duty rated roof rack is sorted out. Debadge it, so only the swapped out Pro grille TOYOTA for ID remains. Once ARB finally releases this vehicle specific snorkel this summer get the hole saw out. Just registered in, like what I see in this Forum. Oh yeah, with the change remaining .... I quite fancy investing in the hooker and blow diversification.

I'd do one of the following:

1)Throw all 10k at the truck to pay it down. Then refi to a lower monthly payment (approx $200 less a month). Pocket the extra money and buy a SC down the road, banking on the idea that the TRD package price will drop to get rid of inventory when the '16 is around.

2)Throw 5k at the truck, refi to a lower rate. Wait till prices on the TRD SC drop and spend some of the remainder on that. throw it in, and be happy. Buy new 60" TV with remaining dough. Move 50" TV to bedroom, piss of girlfriend in process (both by getting the SC and the TV move).

3)Buy the supercharger. Spend remaining money putting in new hardwood floors and a new kitchen counter. Floors and kitchen keeps the female in the house happy, and builds some equity. Happy girlfriend = more fun.

With $10k I would get my business aspirations off the ground and pay off the remaining loan on my truck. Apply my truck payment money to my student loans after that. Then eventually that payment amount towards my mortgage. And voila!

I would pay my truck down 10 grand. I am in rapid payoff mode. I hate having loans.

Nice, I understand. Good point about the conversion. I may never sell this thing either. For now 2wd gets me where I need. When I get into serious offroading and just can't hang anymore, I may trade up or have 2 tacomas.

Yea, I've never really needed to get anywhere that 2wd couldn't get me, but having 4wd would be awesome because I could go do more exploring and not have to be as cautious about where I go. But you're still at the point where you could trade out of your tacoma. I've got both steel bumpers, a couple of trail dents, holes drilled all in the interior, and a shit ton of hours in grinding, cutting, running wires etc.. that I'll never get back, plus I'm about to break 185k miles. (184,19x right now) So I now consider this truck a "Lifelong investment" and not just a vehicle anymore. lol

That's true about where I am. All I have is lift, wheels, and bolt on sliders. However, when I'm in the position to buy a new vehicle, it may be closer to the condition of yours!
