What % and what brand of tint do you have up front that matches your rear factory privacy glass???? I have a DC and want to get as close as possible to match the rear ones. Thanks

Check your state laws.... There could be limitations regarding tint %. That is...if Texas forces you to get vehicle inspections.

Previous owner re-did the tint on the truck. Whole truck is 17% according to 2 places I attempted to get a brake tag from. Most likely 15%. But definitely check your state laws. I got away with it cause I don't have to do inspections. Just got to find someone that doesn't care about window tint to get my brake tag lol.

State law it's 35% but I always get lower than that and never had a problem getting the inspection. Most shops don't care about the tint, less the cops they have more important thing to do I guess

I tried the dealership I work at and a jiffy lube. Neither gave me a tag because of the tint. So I said screw it and went to this place that's also a car wash. Didn't give two shits about the tint. Been pulled over twice and neither time did cops say something about the tint. Guess some shops are assholes

front 25% min, back No min

Louisiana: Louisiana law LRS 32.361.1 states that the legal limits of the sun screening device (window tint) on a passenger car are light transmissions of 40% for the front side windows, 25% for the rear side windows and 12% for the rear windshield

I know Texas and Louisiana check you state laws ALWAYS. For Louisiana the inspections are a scam just go to a "lower quality gas station" that does them and they will never turn on your car much less look at the tint.

My first car was a Taurus police model no cats, 15% all around and never had an issue getting a sticker.

Everywhere I looked online and my truck looks about that is 20% for rear windows

That's what the guy at Jiffy Lube told me. Found a place that could give a rats ass about tint. Just the lights and wipers really
